Brighter Days....

I have started spending some time with Mirielle, playing cards & laughing & social gatherings. It has done the world of good to just kick-back, laugh & spend the day with someone my own age with similar interests. My energy levels are renewed and my curiosity about life in general has returned. I have opened up to new possibilities but am letting God orchestrate all the "action".
My son & daughter-in-law are also moving back to the City. In fact, they are hoping to get the apt. right next to mine. There will need to be boundaries established in order to retain my new-found privacy. I'm happy for them but won't sacrifice my own life just because they are next door.
Am currently "adrift" as far as church is concerned. The community that I thought I would find there is not readily apparent & I have drawn closer to my friends that don't attend...doing social things on Sundays instead.
Weight loss has stalled but I realize that (a) My goal may not be realistic and (b) I still have a small dose of the meds to drop yet. It was 10 years ago that I was at my "goal". That amount of time is insignificant at a younger age but at 70 it is a lot. I'm very fortunate to still be active...walking 6,000+ steps per day, doing all my own housework, laundry, shopping & errands on foot. Visiting Mirielle also involves a long walk from the train to her place & back. There is a bus at the door if I so choose but often I decide to walk just to burn off calories/energy.
Life is good !!!

So glad you\'re spending time with someone. Isn\'t it amazing how our whole outlook can change so quickly for the better. Glad your son wants to be close and I sure understand about boundaries. Sometimes I enjoy a sermon podcast when I can\'t seem to get to church and the \"daily word\" with Joel Osteen always provides a nice uplift to my day. Maybe \"healthy lifestyle\" is where we all should concentrate and then the weight would fall into place too.

So glad things are looking up! Hope you continue to have a nice week!
