Breathing difficulties

Been dealing with a bout of shortness of breathe on and off. Sometime I can't take a full breathe. I noticed that in the morning I am okay it's just later in the afternoon, I get this way. And especially when my son is becoming a teenager and don't do what is asked of him drives me up the wall. Day in and day out. My sleep has gotten better knock on wood but am still on klonopin. I ask my psychiatrist and he said it's not the klonopin that is causing my shortness of breathe but my anxiety issue still looms. Who's right? Sigh!!! I do have to add that there are days that feels norm but not by much.

I doubt its the meds.Sounds like anxiety but to be sure I would go to the docs and get a check up.My anxiety triggers my asthma sometimes.

ahhh, I had shortness of breath years ago and found that low levels of acetlycholine was to blame. When you sleep, your brain produces acetlycholine. You\'d normally produce enough acetlycholine to last you the whole day and some more but if you\'ve had insomnia for a long time or are over stressed, acetlycholine will be depleted. That could explain why in the morning, you\'re ok.... because perhaps you just woke up and you have ample amount of acetlycholine.... then, you start to drain it through the day.... possible....

If you want to test it out, just buy a bottle of acetly-l-carnitine and choline with vitamin b-complex. The next time, you start having symptoms, pop 1 of each and see if it goes away within 15 to 20 minutes.

So, funny thing is.... i continued to take acetly-l-carnitine and choline but got rid of the vitamin b-complex in favor of a multi daily vitamin. It took about 3 months before I was depleted of my b vitamins. I had to take strong b vitamins for 3 days before I felt good again.

oh, btw, i bought my acetly-l-carnitine and b-complex from safeway (a neighborhood grocery store) but I had to go to a specialty store to get the choline. For some reason, because your body is supposed to be able to make choline, it is considered a non-essential vitamin, so they don\'t generally sell it.

I also wanted to add that you should throw in calcium/magnesium/vitamin k/vitamin d and omega 3/6/9 oils.

oops, ok, last one for sure... lol, i forgot to mention that low levels of acetlycholine also causes anxiety. :)

So, all the symptoms fit!

Hmmm....I tried the B complex and one thing that it gave me was a sore throat. I don\'t know if it was to strong for me or something else. 1/2 of jury is out on my current anxiety/ stress while the other 1/2 is blaming the benzo for causing the shortness of breathe. Sometimes I get it and some times I feel normal. The jury is still out. I\'ve been on Klonopin for the last 6 mos and hoping that the psych will OK me to start tappering off of it.

I\'m doing omega oils but will try your advice on the other 2. Another symptom, have you experienced any earache associated with anxiety/ insomnia? BTW. Great to hear from you again. Hope things are going well for you....
