Breaking News!

Things in my world may not be wonderful all the time but they are NEVER boring! My brother cannot bring himself to speak to me. I am not sure why but I am not going to bully it out of him either. He has so much on his plate and I would at least be able to offer moral support, but that is not to be...at least not right now.
I got word that my brother's eldest son is getting married this coming Friday. He stands to lose much in the way of "worldly things", his insurance and school financing through the military since his dad is a career Navy man. This goes into effect the minute he's married. But if this is what he has to do, we have to let him do this. My uncle and my brother have a pact that they call each other if they feel the need to do anything stupid. The other decides for them if it's worth it. Kind of like Suze Orman! He called my uncle a few days ago and I haven't heard a peep. I don't think I am supposed to know. I have been put in charge of the card and was given money to put in it. Guess I'll sign it. What the Hell!
My nephew is 21 this year. He is following his heart or he's doing the right thing as best he understands it. I don't know the situation. I have my suspicions as this is coming together in the time of 3 weeks! I am praying for my brother to find a place in his heart where he can be calm enough to see what is happening and to react in a way that doesn't push his son away from the family. I want him to remember what he faced when he told 2 families he and Karen were getting married. They are still together and better than ever now after 23 years! He has to take a leap of faith and show Matt that he's got his back no matter what. If he can't do that he could lose him forever and have the same relationship he had with our dad.
Not like that drama isn't enough, my uncles are having a bit of a disagreement regarding the house my uncle lives in. It is his home all but the ame on the deed, which is my other uncle, his brother. There's a lien on the property due to an unpaid home equity loan they got awhile back. Here's the thing. The one who owns it wants to keep it to help our family by letting my son or the rest of our little family live in it a very reduced rent. My son is a part time student and he'll be 20 this year. He would be closer to school and he would be able to set up his studio in the garage for his art. This is a win/win situation. He's got 2 part time jobs and his art which makes him a fair amount of money from time to time so it would be workable. We can't all 4 move in there because it is a 2 bedroom house and is tiny. I love it, but it IS tiny. I am always the realist. :(
Anyway, my other uncle wants out from under it because my cousin, who's a nurse fresh out of school, not a financial planner or realestate expert, said he should get out from under it. This leaves the rest of us up in the air. My uncle spoke to me as if it is a done deal and I thought we were at a point to talk to my son about it. He's very interested in the proposition. I don't know what is going to happen with the house I am living in right now. It's Mom's house and I am still paying back what she was in arrears to the mortgage guy. Thank God he's a Christian and is working with me on this. I am trying to be sure my son has a place to be so if we lose the roof over our heads it will just be 3 of us loking for help. I don't know what to do or say anymore. I am so very lost. I desperately want to work everything out so I can be peaceful and happy. I know it's what God wants for me too but I can't quite get there.
Well enough rambling for now. Mom's Peonies have bloomed and I am going to take some to her now.
