Break out some tissues for this story!
For those of you who read yesterday's journal, I signed up for foster with Above & Beyond English Setter Rescue. Just an FYI, Casey, the picture from yesterday, is NOT one that I was fostering. I was just posting a picture as she was in a shelter and about to be gassed and was pulled and put into foster care. Phew! Well, this is the one I fell in love with, and her deadline was tonight at 7:30pm! I was watching the clock, chatting on FB with people and praying like you have no idea.
i fell in love with her face. There was just something about her. At 7pm, someone notified me that they were going to try to pull her and ship her to me to foster. Phew! But we waited to see if they could get her out in time. (I cried all last night over this dog.) I got the message at 7:27pm. She was not only pulled and saved, she was ADOPTED! Phew! Prayers answered!
THANK YOU GOD!

fyi, she was in NC and I live in DE or I would have gone and gotten her myself! My home study is Saturday. my husband is not happy, but understands, sort of.
Oh. On another awesome note: 3 board of trustees members are appealing the sanctions of the NCAA! hooray! The only thing that could make this a better day is hearing the Paterno family is suing Louis Freeh for slander and defamation of character!!
Phew! Today was a pretty good day!
Holy cow! Now I hear she was not adopted but thank God!!! She is out and safe. And guess what? I may still get the honor of giving this baby a second chance at life! i will cry when she leaves. I am attached already and never even met her. But I will know in my heart that I helped to save her. Fingers crossed!
Bless you and your huge heart! HUGS!
You have me crying. Such a generous person you are.
I hope you get her soon.
Wonderful news, Yvette! When I adopted an adult feral cat named Genevieve in 1999, I was eventually (when I was able to tame her) blessed with the best cat a person could wish for. She would have been euthanized also if I hadn\'t taken her. Blessings!
WOW!!!! Something to smile about - and it sure feels good too.
((hugs))
