Branded Infertile?

After months of fertility testing, my doc has asked me to get another lap this year.  This would be the third surgery in 9 months.  I'm definitely struggling today to stay positive.

Try to stay positive. I didn\'t have 3 surgeries in 9 months, but I had 2 within a year. I was looking forward to a third when I was blessed with conceiving my daughter, so there is hope. We tried conceiving for a while, I had to have one of my tubes unblocked, and the mental agony of getting a period every month after tesing ovulation times and planning sex was awful. It was worth it in the end. I was told that I had about a 20% chance of conceiving and even then I may not be able to carry a child. I hope you find this to be inspirational as it is intended. Have the doctors told you that you are infertile? Best wishes :)

Thanks wild orchid. 3 docs have recommended we not try naturally. By definition, that means I am not capable of having kids naturally which means I am, gulp, infertile.

I could try to conceive the old fashioned way, but chances are high I will end up in the hospital again for another ectopic pregnancy. After thinking about it a long time, we have decided to go with a new plan.

We are not sure yet if we will try IVF...but I will go for the surgery and probably have my tube removed. Wish us luck!
