Bracket

The yaddahs of the in-law blahs are far from settled, but hubs and I have decided it is time to insert a bracket on the racket. It is more than any of us, both as a family and individually will be able to process in one sitting and our own affairs need tending while we await the resolutions.

Cleaning up and packing up for the three hour drive back to the homestead. I sure am looking forward to seeing my feather babies and wearing an outfit I haven't worn three times this week. I may have the fashion sense of an engineer, but I still like a little bit of wardrobe variety. If nothing else, clothes last longer if you distribute the stress.

What better moment for the Daughters of Delusion to work their pro-step-sister magic? I don't even know which one called or what she called about. Hubs is a babbling basket case, fissuring meanly across the silver platter like a baby choking on silver polish. I am debating how far into my own business I need to retreat for this one.

Sigh. . .

It was the younger DoD who called and is still on the back patio with hubs. Just before she showed up in the back yard, hubs and I established with impressive calm that we should maintain the family business division for this one. I'm okay with it being none of my business, as long as I don't have to eggshell waltz around the fact. Onward through the confusion. . .

Junior DoD was brought in while Missus Surname was still alive. The CNA she replaced was questioning the RN's ethics in the handling of Missus Surname's care. I often wonder if the head DoD replaced her with an immigrant with devious intent, but. . . This is me, respecting the family tradition and minding my own business.

Still allowing myself to have feelings on the situation, whether I want them, or knot.

Ouch.
