Brave

I keep thinking about being "brave" and what does that mean? I have been told by others @ work that I am brave. I always thought people that were "brave" were standing up for something. Maybe they were defending someone; maybe it means one is going through a medical procedure and you are trying not to cry. Maybe you are sitting with someone waiting to hear test results and "acting brave" keeping the tears hidden. Is that brave? Is it being brave when I go to work everyday with my heart hurting or feeling empty? Are moms who don't have their children here on earth brave because they are putting one foot in front of the other (maybe just @ home but they are moving) Brave.....
I believe I AM BRAVE. I believe YOU ARE BRAVE, Sisters of the Heart. We are so brave for just BEING here without our children. A piece of our heart is forever gone and we are learning to live with part of our heart missing - THAT IS BRAVE. We keep our mouths shut when we would like to *&^ when someone says something stupid....We cry with other moms who are hurting....We hug, cry, give advice, share our hearts and love through this virtual world....WE ARE BRAVE ......
Sending giant hugs to all of the BRAVE Sisters of the Heart. I am so thankful for you. Vicki

Vicki sending you some love and so much wish we were not brave and did not have to continue to be brave. For sure it stinks. Grateful for your support. Peace, Kathy

I have learned through this that being brave is still standing up UNDER something as much as FOR something. Have a peaceful day Vicki. Love, Lauri

I\'m with Lauri! We\'re still standing and do what we need to do to navigate each day and that does take a tremendous amount of courage.

I\'m never quite sure what others mean when they say that? For me sometimes it feels like a conversation stopper because in essence how I\'m really feeling does not want to be explored. It\'s just too painful and too hard for most I have learned. I remember my sister saying that she didn\'t feel that she could be there for me in the way that I had needed in those early days because she was so deeply grieved herself. She said this just recently to me and it really has remained with me.

Brave Hearts... All of us... War torn too and still beating and healing. Truly, it amazes me.

With love dear Vicki,

Oh Vicki, you are so right. We are so brave to keep moving forward with our broken hearts while learning how to heal and grow strong on this journey. Strong - that is another word people use on me. \"You are so strong\", they say.

Little do they know how my weakness can overcome any \"strength\" that I have at a moment\'s notice and at any \"trigger\" that brings the raw pain of the early bereaved days back to light.

So yes, we are truly brave and we are so thankful for you and for each other.

Love and Hugs,
Diane

Hello my Brave Friend! We are brave. It takes courage just to be. Yes, we have time when we feel weak and defeated but - we are here. We have become bitter at times but I also think that we have become more compassionate in some ways - we do support one another, cry together and try to make sense of the horror we live.
Thank you for this.
Love and tight hugs,
Marlene

I definitely don\'t feel brave. Maybe \"brave\" is part of the bigger picture that I cannot see right now, but knowing that it is a part of who I am, does give me hope! Thank you, Vicki.
