Bottomed out

Very long story short, our checking got bottomed out (although he got paid today, but that's all spoken for, of course).  So I've got to present him his choices:

cut spending drastically
take control of checkbook, including paying all bills
I get a 2nd job
file for unemployment
I get a separate checking account

In that order.  I can't stand living like this anymore.  It's out of control--out of my control.  And yet I'm to be responsible for the bills.
