Boooo CNY Fertility
I had my phone consult with CNY Fertility this morning, and I cannot believe they pulled a bait and switch on me! Before I made my appt I contacted them and asked if they handle endometriosis and fine-needle aspiration of an ovarian cyst. I was told that they certainly do, but that I'd have to setup a phone consultation to discuss it with the doctor. Well, I went and scheduled the consult, filled out a mountain of paperwork, got my questions all ready, and anxiously waited.
This morning the doctor called and told me he doesn't handle endometriosis (despite it being listed on their website) and he doesn't do fine-needle aspiration. He also recommended I go to the crappiest doctor in my area and then hung up on me. We spoke for under 5 minutes. It took me longer to drink my coffee than it did to talk to this guy. Complete waste of time.
What a disappointment! If i get a bill for this crap consult I'm gong to be pissed. It's fine if he doesn't do the procedure, but he should've been honest and upfront about it. It wasted not only his time, but my time as well, and I found it entirely unprofessional.
Needless to say this is going to be one of my grumpy days.

That\'s terrible. Sounds like a serious disconnect between office staff and doctor, not to mention terrible communication skills on the doc\'s part! I had an equally worthless consult with an RE a while back - paid a specialist copay for a high school lesson on the female reproductive system basically. Least my husband learned something hehe.
If they do charge you I wonder if you can dispute payment? I had already paid upfront and just let it go but he spent a lot more time with me than this doc did with you.

Thanks Felana :) It really was a disappointment, but I guess he wasn\'t the RE for me. If he charges me for a 2 minute convo I\'m just going to send the bill right back to him. No way am I paying.
Keep looking! I am sorry CNY treated you this way! Unacceptable! Maybe you can send that certificate to this Dr! Sounds like a complete asshole! So strange that he would put endo on his website then claim he doesnt treat endo. WTF? I absolutely hate Dr\'s offices! So much BS, red tape, and misinformation! Well, keep looking. Please let me know if you want my help to find a Dr!
They really shouldnt charge you. Im sure if they do, you can dispute the charges and call your insurance company, if necessary, and get help from them. They usuaully have depts that can advocate for you. But Im sure that wont be necessary and you\'ll be able to get rid of the bill-if there is one.
