booksale//photo exhibit//lawn done//doctor appointment//cold out again

cold today.  got the rest of the "kit" series from american girl books.  i love that series.  it teaches about the depression.
"Use it up (food), wear it out (objects), make it do, or do without!”
This saying from the Depression shows the way to true frugality.   If you want to get the most out of your money, follow the steps outlined in this little rhyme.  its interesting because the rhyme is necessary today as well.  lots of wisdom back then, ditto in the 1800's and before that.  there wasn't all this waste going on.its raining.  drinking split pea soup.  dustin got the lawn done, but ran late by a couple of hours because someone's irrigation system broke while he was working and he had to rig it for them (he said).
he is visiting from astor, and now does lawns only one day per week or per month?   then heads all the way back to astor, which is over an hour from here.  he moved out of e's house lock stock and barrel, along with his girlfriend.  that drama is written in another journal.  he's a very tall, good looking boy, and it makes you realize what his grandfather must have looked like 35 years ago.  lol.
went to the doctor (the one i don't like) and have found a way to deal with him, i NAP while he is there and i think he prefers it, that way he doesn't have to talk at all or much.  he is the one you have to argue with to get your meds.  i am fine now anyway, the daily aspirin seems to be doing its job and even has helped my knee.  i also lost 1/2 a pound in the three months since i was last at the doctor and that was with getting weighed after eating lunch just before the appointment.
visited e's beagles while i was at the doctor, as her property line is right by the parking area of this medical place.  the hunting dogs are in their kennels and the puppies were in crates outside of her sliders.  so cute.  she should fence in her property so they can have a real run, as i don't think it is now.  she says they run when they go hunting.  sounds abusive to me.  what if they don't go hunting one weekend.  people mistreating animals in anyway is becoming a bigger and bigger sore point with me.
michael's animal case is supposed to be dismissed.  mr called to say they just adopted another puppy, its supposed to be a chihuahua but mr says she doesn't believe it.  its a rescue, so it can be anything - someone where her bookstore is had it and didn't want to bring it to the pound, so michael brought it home.  have no idea how they do so many animals.   i can't.  if i go over a certain number i get anxiety attacks and confusion, not even counting the huge expense.
went to a photo exhibit of north florida photos from 1900.  loved it.  they are for sale as well.  wish they had one size larger in 11 x 14.  we will see.  and got super lucky at the booksale and found three new condition maude lovelace books, along with a majesty magazine from 1990.  boy, has EVERYTHING changed since 1990.
really need to spend a day just chilling, sleeping, and things like microdermabrasion-facial (but i have mislaid my microdermabrasion kit)?  i also noticed the time on my clock is moved or the clock is slow.  its odd.  the clock thing makes me think someone was in here.  that happened once before when i lived in montclair and it was the janitor of the building breaking into the apartments...what a jerk to leave a trail by changing my clock?  wtf?  its how he got caught the final time before jail.  most of the building worked in nyc, so no one was home during the day.  he had been caught before, like ten years before that.  doesn't say much for the owner of the building hiring him when he already had a criminal record.  really pissed a lot of people off when that was found out.  also discovered a busted animal abuser is on facebook, another one with bipolar who they do very little with when she is busted, they change her meds and release her, like THAT is going to make her stop being a criminal?!  she was also caught doing stuff in a nursing home in chicago years before that and confessed to it!   fired and switched her meds and she moved to florida to commit more crime.  grrrr.   how about prison for life or execution.  an eye for an eye.
they are shooting something for tv at one of the places i attended summer camp as a kid, its the  third time that i know of, another was a commercial for nescafe i think it was.  weird when that happens but i guess they have to film somewhere.  when i worked in nyc stuff like that was an ongoing thing, that and parades, or concerts on top of buildings by known bands.  wow!  lol.   ditto in miami and fort lauderdale in the 80's.  still weird though.  they corden off the area and there it is.  lol.

well, it makes sense to not have too many pets because they can be stressful. I know I get upset with my cat even though I take care of her. You were also talking about the animal case, & I hope it does get dismissed. I haven\'t been able to come to DS often because I am actually doing some writing to get a case dismissed. it\'s pretty intense. Have to file a notice, motion, over 100 pages of exhibits....ugh. Court is hard.

i also chipped another tooth! omg! its the inside of one of the bottom front, got smart this time and put it in a plastic baggy if they want to glue it back. would love to know what is happening. i say it to anyone older and they laugh as they have been through this phase of life. i said it to br and he said to make sure i get them cleaned a couple of times per year. he has his teeth....in this area of florida a lot of people don\'t have teeth early on, like in their 40\'s. another scary thing.....\"old age ain\'t for sissies\" bette davis

I love the depression quote!! Ain\'t that the truth! Words to live by!!

Did you mean Montclair NJ? I live near there. I know you\'re a Northerner from some time in your life. I\'ve switched back and forth myself, so I know the benefits of both places. I LOVED Florida in my earlier years! It\'s a perfect place to spend your 20\'s. Now that I\'m older and have this stupid CFS disability, I appreciate the cooler weather....so I guess there\'s a time and a place for everything.

Sorry bout the chipped tooth! I\'m having one repaired right now. You do want to hang onto your toofs, so get um fixed when you can!! I have all my own. So proud of me! ( This is not due to not eating chocolate....just sayin)...

Glad you love to read. It\'s such a healthy, relaxing hobby.

Oh and the doctors visit? You lost thre than the scale said. Drop the scale to about a three pound loss. It wasn\'t first thing in the morning, you had your clothes on, and you just ate. So, you\'re doin better than you thought!

I love the quote above. Good to hear you are finding the time to read. Yes, South Florida is going to see temps tomorrow that feel like the mid 30\'s. The clouds are clearing off now. Have a great weekend.
