booksale//mom and pop restaurant//dyed my hair//hung the new drapes//83 degrees and sunny
stayed at richard's and then went to the mom and pop place for breakfast, always good there but the rest is soooo odd. remembered to pay in pocket change because roni the server (its a woman, good server, remembers to write down orders (i think?) but she steals. grrrrr. its amazing though, not only are their home fries better than everywhere else, the eggs are too, so it must be whatever fat they are cooking it in?
dyed my hair. did a long soak with salts. boy, does that make a huge difference for my knee. talked to dustin about using his pick-up and discovered his father had a heart attack and he's in a v.a. hospital in gainesville right now. have to remember to call someone else for that. faxed over the records for the kitties as they are being boarded right now, they will be back from their carribean cruise in ten days. talked to another adopter from a couple of years ago who found a white persian cat by their parking area. also discovered from her that pumpkin straight from a can, put on ordinary cat food will straighten out their digestion. wonder if that works for humans as well?
went to a book sale which was a lot of fun actually. no anxiety from that at all. very calming. picked up the classic pinochio, i didn't even realize the disney version of it is just a piece of the original classic written by someone else. was never a fan of that book, but the real ones are generally much better than the commercialized versions.
am realizing this whole thing with mary and that rescue group, is actually stalking; and stalking is a form of bullying. very weird. they are so old to be acting like that. i guess stalkers come in every age group. br says the woman from the group named pat, actually knocked on his door last year and invited herself in and out somewhere with him and he only went to get rid of her because she was INSIDE his house. finally he said to her the only people permitted inside are the workers from the church he's affiliated with and his relatives.
i said to him, maybe she is desparate. did you ever see the movie mr. mom when the neighborhood housewives start inviting themselves over? one of the main reasons we got started as a group helping animals was because people were being harrassed by this other rescue group and by people at petsmart. then it turned out that the people at petsmart who were harrassing people were the same people from this rescue group who used to feed the animals at petsmart. amazing how much trouble this one group of people have caused. they have been harrassing people for over ten years. would think the cops would do something about it. some of these assholes should really just get brown baskets and dark glasses and go door to door begging, it would suit them. j thinks they use animals as a cover for their bad behavior, like they have another agenda which is crime. what in the world are they doing in br's yard or at any of my houses? its private property!
so barely made it back. hung the light drapes and trashed the ones the animals are playing with. they look better than the other ones and it was time for new ones. the black himalayan that is overly friendly seems subdued so i better let it stay with us. the land next to rn's possible house with land is the same price as the one with the house even though its empty. its been for sale for 3 years.
was like summer outside all day long! yay! over 80 degrees and sunny. on the way to the house up north it became cloudy and misty. its still warm out, but drizzling all day.

Today we have sunlight and 85, but had heavy fog this am, so the humidity is high. Why are the kittens going on a cruize...ha ha, no I understand they are being boarded. Wow, that is how my MS brain is working today.
That Mom & Pop place sounds just like my cup of tea. I enjoy these little spots of local charm.
I simply love to visit book sales anywhere. Weather has not been cooperating with us and weekend sales lately.
I made some peanut butter pies and they came out really good.
Love U XXOO
Weather here in Michigan is snow and wintery!
Love eating at Mom & Pop diners....love the old booths with the butt holes! Best food always!
that place is soooo odd. if the food wasn\'t good, it\'d be tooooo odd. it still looks like a beauty salon from the 60\'s, but has tables and 4 booths, plus a counter and then you can see the kitchen is in the back and a window to pass the food. NOTHING in there matches.. even with all of that, its the service that is too weird. ONE normal server, one server who steals (and the latest is that she was a stripper when she was young and is now a server at age 60, so she doesn\'t comprehend that money is exchanged for food and then you give change, she thinks five dollar tips or bigger is what she should be getting, as strippers got that back in her day i guess? to be frank, the bad server thing is wayyyy too much to handle for me, and i am sure that is the reason they haven\'t won anything for their great breakfasts. i wonder if the owner knows that. the male server gets orders wrong or forgets to put them in. there is ONE normal server and she has another job so wonder how long that will last. what an ODD place. my guess is that the owner knows he has odd servers, so some other connection must be there....DON\'T EVEN WANT to know.
i know someone who is with probation for juvie, i guess i can find out if that cafe is on the list of places that hire people in trouble, as that is the impression i get with the one who steals. it grosses me out though. and if you are repulsed, you don\'t want to eat. she may think i am from probation or a cop as when i was a photographer and went into a bad area people always thought i was a social worker, especially little kids. what a different life, inner city is as well. i\'m not really up to that anymore. you pick up on crime, its around you, you hear about it, you can send it in and \"make a difference\" but its so much easier to ignore it and just not go there at all.
if they had better servers, no thieves, no early onset dimentia or whatever the man has, i think they would win things for their food. its too bad. but they have been around for 25 years, they probably don\'t care. the other unique one near the beach that moved from the center of town, has wonderful servers, even though they are older people. everything over there \"has character\" but is NORMAL. but not this place. you feel the not normal thing when you go in and you think its the decor, but its not, its the servers. like something from the twilight zone, or a scary movie. seriously. lol.
I like reading your journals! There\'s always a little bit of this and a little bit of that.
The restaurant sounds nice, and YUMMY!!! Made me hungry just reading about eggs. I love eggs over easy and hash browns!! YUMETH. We have Denny\'s up here. Great place for brekky!!
So sorry those people are so much trouble. Nobody belongs on anybody elses property...never mind in odd hours, doing odd things! It\'s all very strange.
What color did you dye your hair? I used to frost my hair all the time when I lived in Florida....I dunno, had to have some blonde on me somewhere or I felt like a misfit!!
Hope you are gearing up for Christmas! As usual, great work with the kittums!
Just checking in to say Hi.
yeah, had no idea they were in a feud last year. handled it with honey instead of vinegar. geared the conversation toward, yes, they should have been spaying and neutering for the passed eight years and not just feeding. HOWEVER, the wife was battling cancer. and br just took over feeding for her four years ago. in the passed two years that i have been helping him he has spayed several of the cats and i took TWO LITTERS of kittens and placed them all out. there aren\'t that many over there anymore. i think the woman is bipolar in addition to being drunk and i don\'t think she is taking her medication or its not working. there is no reason at all for her to be making trouble there. and now she is on the attack in general. that group she called, she called last year as well. i don\'t want to see them go after br, the way they ended up going after terit who ended up dying of cancer two years ago. that is a whole other story. i don\'t even KNOW the group she is calling but anytime they are around there is a trauma-drama.
we have denny\'s here, but this is a lot better. i have trouble with processed food nowadays, so even waffle house doesn\'t always cut it. remember waffle house. big time southern breakfast chain. lovvvve their waffles.
i dyed my hair brown, to be creative. lol. its always brown. i like brown maple with a bit of red if they have it, but all the browns look about the same. sometimes i do chocolate cherry by loreal feria. really nice, but the dye is watery and i prefer the cream one, its easier.
put up lights and candycanes outside on the big deck, and stockings indoors today. k put out his tree yesterday - he normally waits another week. i did the wreathes last week at the house down south and need to do the rest this weekend at both houses.
do you go to the ballet for the holidays?
