Body
Well, I've been away from my journals for a while. Yall can remember when I journaled every day,,,sometimes twice a day. I may not have been journaling, but I've been here. I've read your journals and enjoyed your company. And, I've been involved in some groups. There's a lot of enjoyment in a group where there's fun. If you find one, join it. If you'd like to join one of the groups I'm in, let me know. Anyway, as yall rmemeber, I bought a pair of tennis shoes. They weren't the U S Keds I was looking for, but they kinda look like them,,,Converse All Stars, They're not as heavy or wellbuilt as Keds and they don't have that famous arch support, but they're incredibly comfortable. I really like them. I wear them only to work because I don't to get them dirty. Thinking seriously about getting another pair to wear around the house and in the yard. You might try a pair.Do you realize what a marvelous machine your body is? It came to my mind while I was in my car the other day. I was putting a cigarette out in the ash tray and for some reason noticed that without thinking, my hand had done something complicated. For you non-smokers, I'll try to explain. Smokers usually hod a cigarette between their index and middle finger. It's natural. To put the cigarette out, the fingers have to manipulate the cigarette from between the fingers so that the index finger and thumb control it to take it by the filter end and crush it in the ash tray. This is without thinking! If you try to think about it, you can't do it! It's just a simple task that smokers do many times a day. But think about the rest of the things your body does without a concious thought from you. Do you have to tell your lungs to breath? Do you have to tell your legs every motion they must make to walk? When's the last time you told your heart to beat or you eyes to move? All you do is done automatically so you can live. We never think about it until something goes wrong. Every once and a while, think about what your body does and how marvelous it is. God did a pretty job designing this machine,,,didn't He!
