Bluesday

Dearest,
I’m okay, the virus or whatever it was seems to have passed. I’m feeling physically better, but mentally, well that’s another story. I’m feeling petulant and pouty, I don’t want to do anything! I don’t want to eat, I don’t want to sleep, I don’t want to do anything, and I don’t want to do nothing either! I’m in a difficult, irascible mood and no one around to annoy. What good is it to be a professional pain in the ass if there is no ass available to pain?
There are not enough hours in a day to do all that I need to get done! Sunday night / Monday morning we had floods, torrential rains on top of mountains of snow. The shop flooded two feet deep. Lots of destroyed equipment, and walls blown out etc. The water took the dumpster out back (tractor trailer sized) lifted it up, turned it 45 degrees and dropped it, it’s pretty awesome actually, they’re gonna need a crane to get it out of there. My car broke Monday as I was navigating all the washed out roads and assorted debris. No Brakes! Of course, I was almost all the way to work when I discovered it. I had to drive all the way back to Jack’s with no brakes and a state trooper escort of course. Then Jack is telling me that it’s time for an oil change. I said “I don’t need to change the oil until spring!” Jack said “It is spring!” As we stood there, knee deep in flood water with the incessant wind blowing the relentless snow into our faces I asked “This is spring?” ”Really?” I guess the good news is that my drainage scheme has worked so far and there is no problem at the house.
I was cleaning out the freezer and I found the chicken broth that you made exactly one year ago. One year ago you were making chicken soup, I can still smell it. I probably should have thrown the chicken broth out but I couldn’t. I accidentally re-arranged all your desktop icons and was worried that you’d be annoyed when you saw it. It hit me like a rock in the head, you were not going to see it, nor be annoyed with me, nor put it back the way you want it, . . .ever.
On top of everything else I’m having sexy dreams! I’m an old man for Christ’s sake! Make them leave me be, that I don’t need.
Hopefully I’ve annoyed you somewhat since that seems to be the only thing that I’m in any mood to do.
Till the wind stops blowing and the snow stops falling I’m still
Your Ken

Ken, I\'m glad you\'re feeling better. Boy, you have the luck of Charlie Brown. I know how you love being a pain in the ass, but now, it\'s only for yourself. Not much fun that way, is it? I don\'t know what the sexy dreams mean, I just know my husband would say it\'s natural, you\'re a man.
Stay dry, healthy, and safe.

I am so glad you wrote. It has helped. I have discovered that my grandma is toxic and that my dad is not far behind. Other than that, life is pretty good, just busy. I am sorry everything is not going well. I accidentally opened my vans door and tapped something and I thought oh no my hubby is going to be so upset with me, then I was relieved when there was no damage and that is when it hit me...he\'s not here, so I know what that moment is like. I know it is not easy, but we are all here for you. Sexy dreams, huh ;) Well why not, your not that old :) Sending you hugs and hoping each day gets a little better for you.

\"freezer and I found the chicken broth\"

Sounds like my freezer. There are few things in my freezer only my Hubby ate one was lemon pie. It still is in my freezer. I just can not throw it away yet.
Glad your feeling better. Just got out of hospital with pneumonia myself. Still not feeling all better yet. Sorry your still getting so much cold weather. We are getting rain non stop. Sexy dreams huh lol what is wrong with that? Your not that old my friend.

Floods, pestilence and chicken soup. And I have a bruised and shattered bum. We are expecting a few more inches of rain with more flooding too. I am so happy that the sump pump is working - although I think now that I typed this I may have jinxed my basement. (knocking on wood).
Sexy dreams. hmmm... while annoying, purely natural.

Be well,
Linda

Ken, Glad you are feeling somewhat better. So you moved Abbys icons huh. I just bet she knows about it and is saying that crazy pain in the ass did it again. Sorry about the floods I am starting to worry about that happening here when the spring rains start and if it is spring I wish someone would tell mother nature about it as it is damn cold here in Illinois. Sandi must be reading my mind. Boy, she said it all and then some. Men are not susposed to be good patients. Its their job to moan and groan, I thing it the opposite end of the sexy dreams thing. Hang in there, your health and spring are getting closer to being now. Floods here are going down and things are looking better. Spring is March 20th. Hugs Jane

I am glad you are feeling better but you are still having to climb so many mountains...isn`t losing our better half enough? Even in your \"petulant and pouty mood\" you have an amazing sense of humour. May we have better days ahead, hugs Lu Ann
