Bluesday

Dearest,
I hate to talk about the weather but it’s just about all I’ve been able to cope with lately. We got 6-8” of snow today, we’re supposed to get 12 to 16” tomorrow and another 6-8” tomorrow night. The damn mastodons broke down the back fence again and the penguins are playing in the pool. I’m about fed up. As soon as I can get this estate crap settled I’m selling this house and moving someplace warmer. Tropical islands are calling me.
I did argue with the pharmacy about my prescriptions but I gave up and sic’d the doc’s nurse on them.
I miss you every day. Some one asked me who I was and that started me thinking, who am I? Seems like a simple question but it doesn’t appear to have a simple answer. Who am I now? I mourn therefore I am. I’m feeling kinda sad today, maybe it’s all the snow ar maybe it’s the time of year, I don’t know.
Till the snow stops falling, Your Ken

Good question, Ken. I have been asking myself that question recently. I knew who I was when I was Bob\'s wife...we were a happily married couple who loved to do everything together, other than our jobs.
Now, that I am on my own, I need to figure out who I am, what I really enjoy, how do I want to spend my future. Yikes!! It\'s too much to consider,

Try to stay warm if you can. Yes, I don\'t blame you for wanting warmer weather. Hang in there,
Linda

Did you send Texas the cold weather?, lol. Just kidding. It is not as cold as where you are, probably not even close, but when you go from 50 to 60 degrees to 23 in one day, wahoo, it is cold!!! I ran out of groceries, so I bundled my son and myself and stocked up so we won\'t have to worry about a lack of food for a while :) I am sorry you are having a bad day. I was like that all last week. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day. By the way, I have been going through the identity crisis too, I am a widow, but it should not define me or anyone, although some days it does. You are still you, you are just in mourning for your loved one. It will take time. Sending you hugs sand hoping tomorrow is a better day :) Take care, Renee\'

Ken,
Warmer climes call me too. I woke up to an ice palace - ice everywhere. It would be pretty if I was (who? wilma flintstone?).... Part of the grief process I am finding out is our new identity. Truly, half of me is missing but what to fill that half with? We worked together, lived and loved together, raised a family, did it all. Now it\'s just me. And I don\'t know who I want to be, who I am or if I am.

I certainly understand about not knowing who you are anymore. I feel like half a person. We were married 52 years and were retired for the last 20 of them. We didn\'t do every thing together but at the end of the day we were as one. Diane

Keep posting about the weather, it makes me realize how much worse mine could be! We got 20 inches here at my house and we think it is the end of the world (so glad it isn\'t 2012 or we would be in a panic). Life pretty much stops here in OK with this much snow.
Spring will be here eventually!

I, too, have no clue who I am any more. I truly lost myself and my identity over the years. James and I were so much a part of each other and were always together except when he was working. I now have to figure out who I am, what I like to do, and what kind of a future I want. I\'m taking things one day at a time or it\'s just too overwhelming for me.
