Bluesday

Dearest,
The weather is making me crazy! Very, very cold and it snows like every day. Every other day it snows a significant amount. Last night the 1” predicted turned into 4” –6”. I can’t shovel any more. Either, I work or I shovel, I can’t do both. I am not feeling well either, kind of achy and every time I eat I get an upset stomach. Tonight while I was shoveling I discovered that your car has a burned out headlight, I was using the far for light so I could see. Isn’t that great? Could anything else go wrong? Seriously, anything? Come on pile on after all I’ve got nothing to do. I’ll call Jack tomorrow, can’t do it tomorrow, we’re supposed to get another 12 – 18” of snow. I am SO sick of this sh|t!
I don’t like being independent; I don’t want to be independent. I want to be harassed and pestered. I want to share private jokes and private times. I want to gossip about people and make fun of them. I want to be selfish and mean. Well, okay, maybe not, but it sure would be nice to have that option. I was re-arranging the “Goddess” pillows today and realized that nobody would know why they are “Goddess” pillows, made me very sad.
They were talking about the “Snow Ball” on the radio this morning and I was remembering when we went. That started me remembering all the stuff we did. We did a hell of a lot in a very short time didn’t we? The ski jump competition has been postponed due to inclement weather. WTF? You would laugh.
Till the snow stops falling, Your Ken

Ken,
I think this winter is the winter of everyone\'s discontent. Here in NJ we are expecting another 6 to 12... I don\'t know where I\'m going to put it. At first I thought lone shoveling could be a spiritual activity; now it\'s just a pain in the ass activity. My only hope is that this cold, cold season is somehow nourishing my 1,000 + daffodils and other perrenials. Guess spring will tell. On another note, there was a young eagle perched in my ancient oak this morning... I guess waiting out the latest storm. I watched him for some time with my binoculars (okay, Jim\'s binoculars.. he bird watched, I fed birds).. when the morning squall ended, he spread his wings and flew away for parts unknown.. kind of like me one day... perhaps one day, after this storm, I will spread my wings and simply fly away.
Stay warm,

Linda

Ken,
Please take care of yourself. I know the snow is a b..ch and a pain in our collective asses. I view it as one more day closer to spring, and the flowers comming back. Please do be careful and take it easier. Jane

Ken,
Here in the south we get snow but since it is rare we do enjoy it. Usually 3 good times in the winter. We have had 2 good snows already. How about a trade. Some of our summer heat for your winter snow.
Sure understand the wanting less independents. Also about everything going wrong. That list grows daily.
Take care of yourself and hope your feeling better real soon. Stay warm.

Hi Ken, Maybe you need to keep out of the cold and snow and take care of yourself until you are feeling better...Want me to send you some heat we have plenty to spare....As for the independence I don\'t want it either, I would love to have all those moments you discribed back again ..... it is such a large part of yourself and your life that has gone ....i know how you feel and I am sorry you have so much to deal with alone...

I know what you mean. I miss my hubby too. He was not perfect by any means, but we did have a good time together. i always wonder what the future holds in store for us now. I don\'t know...I guess the best thing is to just take one day at a time. I\'m thinking of taking a trip somewhere. Sometimes a change of scenery can make all the difference in the world. Also, it gives you something to look forward to.
