Bluesday

Dearest,
Today’s earworm has been “Old Friends”, gee I wonder why? I’ve been very melancholy all day. Reminiscing, and wandering through memories, I’m feeling very old and very lonely. Just a lonely old man. Time it was, and what a time it was, it was A time of innocence, a time of confidences Long ago, it must be, I have a photograph Preserve your memories, they're all that's left you.

You know those maple creams that you would buy for me every Christmas? Well, you’re not around so I bought them for myself. It’s just not right, everytime I eat one I think of you, I get sad and I don’t enjoy it as much. I also bought myself some maple-walnut fudge.
I woke up this morning to some jerk on the radio saying that it was 18° out and it was going to get cold. Great, just what I need single digit temperatures. It snowed last night, about 4”, I didn’t feel like shoveling this morning so I just drove over it. Tonight when I tried to shovel it was all packed down, now I’ll have to spend Sadderday scaping the driveway. I’m such a moron.
Doctor Killedmyabby’s office called me at work again, again I missed the call. They had better tread lightly, I might go all panda on him. (Eats,Shoots and Leaves). I wonder what other people think of my posts. Filled with private jokes, grammatical jokes, biblical references, and allegory. Not to mention song lyrics and poetry. At least I haven’t thrown in any Socrates or Aristotle, oh, wait, maybe I have. I stay light on the Jungian and Freudian stuff though. That was your specialty. I wish,   you know what I wish.
Life is so sad, and then you die. I don’t like it anymore. Didn’t get mad today just blue. Mad is more fun, sad is worse. I’m missing a lot of people you know, of course you most of all. Wow, I just reread those last two paragraphs, any one might think that English was my second language. Some of it was deliberate though. Feel free to edit all you like. I’m afraid the time has come, we spoke of many things, I must go, lots to do.
Till later, your blue Ken

Simon and Garfunkel and Lewis Carol. I think your posts are interesting. Don\'t worry.....no one would ever think English was a second language for you. Try to get mad again......it\'s so much easier than the sad.

Ken, I think your posts are inspired, poetic and real. You touch my heart with every word.
Blessings,
Linda
ps. it is cold here too. The mercury has dipped way down low and with it my spirits. No snow yet but it is in the forecast. It may cancel a trip visit from my sister and that I can not tolerate. She lightens my load.

I get some of your jokes, and remember some of the lyrics, just not who or where I heard them. My husband\'s hobby was collecting music. He has a music room, where he would burn CDs, read and listen to his music. He could tell you when a song came out, what it\'s number on the chart was, and what he was doing, when he first heard it. He had me listen to lyrics all the time. I\'ve been working without heat for the last 2 weeks, but we never have been in single digits. I don\'t think I could take that much cold. The customers are starting to complain, so I think they are trying harder to get the heat fixed.
Stay warm, enjoy your fudge.
