Bleak news
On Thursday, they FORCED me to go to the hospital to speak to a doctor, and I came face to face to the a**h*** I had to deal with when I requested physical therapy & he didn't give it to me the first time. This time he pretended not to remember me. . .
He couldn't have been more negative. Now I am afraid I will have sent home to a person who can't speak (traecheotomy), eat, or use the toilet, and of course can't walk or move anything but his eyes. . . to top it all off, he is 'out of the health system' so I have to try & straighten that out. I have put in an application for home medical care for him ALREADY because it apparently takes over a year to get accepted. In the meantime I will have to pay cash to whoever cares for him
Overall, not great.

Wow, I\'m praying that your outrage for this situation will help you be strong and find answers here. Can you consult with an attorney and see if they can offer options for you. I know around here, there are plenty of attorneys who offer free consults to help figure out what you can do.
Prayers for you.
How frustrating. I hope you find some help and relief soon.
I really don\'t know a thing about HealthCare in Spain, but how can they send him home to u & ur boys? That would be horrible! Don\'t they care that nobody would b there during the day to care for him? I hope there is someone there that can help u find the answers u need.
Lots of hugs for u!! I wish there was something I could do for u
Yeah Chrissy, the deal is, the health system takes really good care of him in the hospital as long as they see some improvement bit by bit. But if he just stabilises into a more permanent state, they ship him home. I would have to pay someone to be here when I\'m not until the official help might kick in.
I know it may sound horrible to say, but I think if he doesn\'t recover to a state at least somewhat similar to the person I met & married, then I think he would have been better off to have died on impact. I am sure he would agree, the problem is, we never wrote down anything official on the subject. So our hands are tied. Looks like what is left of his inheritance from his parents will probably have to go toward health issues, rather into future retirement type projects.
Wow. Thinking of you. Do they have any nursing home type facilities there? You\'d almost be better off here! Wow.
Im Canadian and horrified that anyone would be expected to bring your husband home yet, My son was sent to a good rehab hospital, mind you when He gets his insurance settlement he may have to pay a portion of the money spent on him back, his full bill is 200,000 dollars plus. he didnot have insurance on him self
looking forward to hearning aboout break throughs in the future.
