Blackout
Well after a long day at work I came home to a dark house. We lost electricity around 4pm and didn't get it back on until around 1AM. It was rather frustrating when part of the community never lost power and another part had their power restored after only a few hours. My part of the community was the LAST to get it back on. I went to bed and a few hours later I woke up to see the power back on. But I had to throw away some food from the freezer (luckily it wasn't much) black outs remind us how much we rely on electricity for pretty much everything. I saw two neighbors out in the parking lot pacing, like that was going to get the lights on any sooner. It was actually comical to me, to see them pacing. Whatever happened to the days when neighbors met outside when the weather got hot and said hello, or especially during a blackout?

hi Linda, i'm so sorry, you all had a power outage, i know how upsetting that can be, you handled it well, and i'm so glad, you all kept cool, and comfortable as can be. :) i'm so sorry though, you all lost some foods. it's awful when the power goes out, but am so glad, you made the most of the day, and i'm so relieved, your power is back on :) We're thinking of you all, and so proud of you, our dear friend :) i hope your day is going well, and peaceful :) Sending lots and lots of love, and big caring friendship hugs, from us all :)

Glad you finally got it back on. Guess your neighbors have no idea what it was like before we relied on electricity so much. Blessings
I always used to like blackouts growing up. My family would light candles, have snacks, and sit around and talk/tell stories. I'm glad that your power is back on now. It's only when we don't have it that we realize how much we rely on it.
