Bittersweet
Life sometimes happens that way. A friend that I have seen off and on since April came into town, and I took him to a few places. We went to eat at a soul restaurant and then walked to Bourbon St. While we walked down the street, we passed the hotel, where, I spent my honeymoon. I metioned it, in passing, but it did bring some saddness. It happened to be my husband's birthday too. I told my friend, and he got very upset, and kept saying how sorry he was. The thing was, I was OK with it, it's been the 3rd birthday that he wasn't here. I was more upset at a car dealership, that left a message for my husband, wishing him a happy birthday.
I feel I'm moving on, and then things pop up, and I cry. I went to our old church today. The pastor that was there when our kids were young, was a visiting preacher for revival. I saw it in the paper, and just had to go and see him again. I almost broke down, thinking about the times we had sat there and listened to him, and how much my husband liked him. I spoke to his wife and then him, asked about their boys and what they were doing. They were having dinner after church, but I couldn't do it. I know everyone would be hovering over me, and I just couldn't handle it without crying.

Yes it is always there. Always right under the surface. Assume it will forever and that is just the way it is. i suppose if it was so good, that is the reason. We can adjust but I see nothing wrong with the forever \" missing\".
Peace Bob
I believe that we will always miss our beloved. And why shouldn\'t we? We can move forward and begin and live our new lives to the fullest but there will alway (and forever) be a place in our hearts for those who went before us.
Blessings,
Linda
I know what you mean. I got upset today cause someone called for my husband. He had a accent so I don\'t even know who or what he was calling about. But I managed to understand my husbands name. I just told him he had passed away and hung up. Every time I take a step forward something comes along and you get knocked twice back. One day at a time....
We won\'t forget and we will always have that very special place reserved in our hearts for our dear departed loved ones. It is right and it is normal. But, as Linda says, we have our lives and we must move on to new joys. I will be posting a new journal soon as my life has been renewed.
It is taking me forever to find post no alerts anymore DS is having some real issues. It is hard and no matter how long it has been something eventually sets off the memories and tears. I guess it may always be that way. Hugs!!!
