Biscuits and Tears
Is it a shock when something brings a memory back and the tears you can't control....
Today we headed to the World Food for something special for dinner. Strolling through looking at all the yummy foods offered, I glanced at the frozen foods. There staring back at me were the Frozen Homemade Bisquits that I had purchased at Walmart-mart a few times.
at first I felt excited finding them reached in to get a bag then there came the Tears...
The last meal that my sweet son ate and enjoyed was a Big Batch of Chocolate Gravy and Hot Homemade Bisquits. The joy I watched as Ken came in the room to get a big helping of home made Bisquits and Chocolate Gravy.
Amemory that brought sadness to me today and the tears flowed..a memory that I tried to talk my Granddaughter to have me cook for about 75 people..A memory remembering the joy on Ken's face and his enjoyment.
The pain I felt today as the memories flooded me remembering that was Ken last meal he enjoyed on this earth but the happiness I felt when I thought about trying to get out of cooking yet...
it was one of the last wonderful happy moments I got to share with my wonderful son....I love you Ken. Mom misses you so much...forever your mom...

A bittersweet memory for sure. Let those tears flow. Ken is worth it!
Love and tight hugs,
Marlene
Oh Sandi, it\'s so true that those memories can be so bittersweet. They make us smile and cry at the same time. We cry at the pain of missing them so much because we love them so much. And those sporadic \"triggers\" are so very heartbreaking. My son, Jared, loved the big bag of hot buffalo wings sold at Sam\'s Club. I try not to look at them when I go through that aisle. sigh...
This is a hard journey we are on but we are adjusting and learning and growing along the way.
Sending you a tight understanding hug my friend.
Love and Peace,
Diane
Sandi, so wonderful yet difficult these memories are...gentle hugs, Linda
those tears will always flow,,, let them... mine do..... love ya!
Sandi, what a great memory but they always come with tears. There\'s a restaurant that Jennifer & I always went and when I went there on her birthday - I cried...all those memories are priceless to us but I know I wish I had my daughter here with me instead of a memory.....Sending a big hug to you tonite. Vicki
A precious memory indeed and so very grateful that we have them to rest in.
I don\'t know what chocolate gravy is? Guess I need to look it up for sure. Oh, those biscuits sound delicious.
Gentle care dear Sandi, as you remember,
XO Joanie
What a sweet memory. Sending love and hugs, Paula
How lucky are we to have had the love of our children. Such Joy!!!! Blessings as we cry with our memories. Love and Hugs, Kathy
What a wonderful memory! xox, Debbie
I cry sometimes it seems like I cry so much that my husband might think I shouldn\'t even let myself remember Cara and the many memories... I do work to divert myself when the memories are painful... I mean the guilt feelings and all that... but the good memories... I find I am far more grateful for them than sad... I can handle the tears... I can\'t and won\'t cut Cara or memories of her out of my life... I hope someday you will make the chocolate gravy and biscuits and your heart will fill with happiness thinking how happy Ken is when you are good to yourself and the rest of the family he loved so much.
I just love chocolate gravy and bisquits. My SIL used to make them for us. A wonderful memory since she also is in heaven.
Sending chocolate hugs LOL
