I agree 400bhp seems a bit high for a stage 1 on a 335d. Cars that clock those figures are probably on optimistic dynos. We're over in Telford and have maintenance and performance services with ex BMW tech. I was having the same conversation on Sunday. DMS come highly recommended and now has a branch in West Brom.

Most modern cars these days have a turbocharger fitted to the engine. An engine works by mixing compressed fuel with air and then igniting this mix inside its cylinders. Turbochargers and superchargers increase the fuel compression therefore allowing more fuel to fit inside the cylinders before igniting. It is more fuel efficient to increase power this way rather than just having a larger engine to begin with. If i was starting from scratch i would simply have it strapped on dyno for several hours and mapped on proper standalone type unit as is my fn2. Picked up 2.2 for my mum recently totally stock and prefer the power delivery and smoothness v wifes car which is peak about 200bhp and well over 300ft lb . Wifes diesel has stage 2 map by celtic i beleive.
They say 390bhp and price a tune at £350 inc dyno, also £300 for a xhp flash. By booking in, you, the customer, understand and accept the risks of vehicle tuning. Will at P-Torque I have tested his maps extensively on track and they are faultless.
