bike 2 walmart in snow
I had to get stuff, available only at Walmart, and Sunday morning is my favorite time to bike, so yesterday's snow wasn't gonna stop me.
When enough assorted drunks, addicts, redneck moms, and phoney church goers regard you as the village idiot, it can't hurt your reputation to bike in yesterday's snow 2 miles to Walmart.
I also again checked my blood pressure on the machine at Walmart; free health test; 121/74 & 70 for my best reading of the day.
Seeing how I was too beaten down to even think of bicycling in my teen years, and that my drunken, phoney-baloney, dad dragged me to church Sundays, probably to make himself seem respectable, I probably enjoyed, at age 54, biking to Walmart today more than I even want to admit to myself.
Yeah, it was fun.
...semi-anonymously near the poconos; not as though local trouble-making lowlifes will ever read this.

Omg. High five to ya for doing that. I tell ya I\'ve done it myself. Many years ago though I may add. Shopping bags hanging off the handle bars and tipping over. Lol. Not fun when that happens. But yeah you have independence.
Good job for having a great attitude. Well except for picking on the low life\'s..lol. Hey maybe they have their stories too. But I do get what you are saying.
Free health care indeed! Lol. And that\'s a perfect blood pressure reading as well.
I\'m so glad you had fun. It\'s amazing what someone can consider fun. Adrenaline junkies have to jump off mountains. But for you and me a bike ride can be just as exhilarating and probably far safer.
The simplest of things can be fun.
I\'m sorry you have bad memories of your childhood. It\'s sad to not have the fathers you really needed. I really do understand.
My father was not a drunk but had a raging temper and took it out on me and my sister. I think he was a coward for bullying his wife and two daughters like he did and inadvertently still tries to bully in his own way, Can\'t physically touch me now though.
It\'s cold up that way where you are. My husband is working further South in PA. Ive Been there a couple of times. I think it\'s pretty up in PA. Went to the Poconos in the fall. I thought it was pretty.
Father. Singular. Lol. That is funny I put an \"s\" on there.
How many fathers do we need? Lol. Just one. One good one. Alas it didn\'t happen.
Take care. You are a cool person.
Thank you, Angel1313 and Naturegirl65; my really bad habit re late replies...
I too, have suffered so much that I appreciate the simple things in life that I can do which I couldn\'t do before due to anxiety.
yes, lydia979, better late than never; no bicycling for me from age 13 through 21; lot of depression i unaware of at that time.
lydia979....more simple pleasures for me, and i really apreciate them today after reading your comment.
another walmart bike ride, two $1 items from mcdonalds, and some more cheap-enough stuff to feel good about, after just coming in the door.
