Big Sigh & Troubled

OK, I'm sure I'm not going to make much sense here but at least, if nothing else, I'll let some feelings loose.
I just found out earlier today that an elderly aunt of mine has passed away.  She was the last one of that generation left in my moms family.  She was always a vibrant lady, always loved being sociable, could be quite all around fun.  She was in her early 90's.
OK, here's where I can't quite get a grip on why I sort of feel like I'm being pulled apart.  My sister told me that she didn't have info on arrangements yet but it was possible it could be Wed.  Wed a.m. is my shift at the shelter.  I had to miss last Wed because of my ultrasounds so I was really anxious to get back to that work which is such important therapy to me on so many levels.  Am I making any sense here????
I can't really get a grip on why I feel this way, why the shelter work is so vitally important to my wellbeing.  I guess it could be because in those 3 1/2 hrs we receive so much total unquestioning love & adoration that you feel really uplifted., you forget all abt the world as we see & know it.  I mean, come on here girl, this is a dear aunt.
Why or why do I feel like I want to just scream somehow.  I'm turning it over to the Lord.  I'm praying & asking that if there is someway to have this all work out, that things will be placed on different days, that I can I guess make everyone happy then I want that so badly.
You know what, I think I'll sign off here for now before I confuse myself any more.
Loving thanks to all my dear friends who will take time to read my confusion.  Please feel free to let me know your thoughts.

You know, Kitty, I understand. You\'re gravitating towards the love. Here\'s the question because funerals, to me, are for the family let behind. What would your aunt want you to do? Had you seen her recently? I say do what feels right to you. For so long, we all do what we think we should do, but what do you WANT to do???? You\'ll make the right decision. HUGS

I so understand your gravitating towards the love.
I do believe that I would go to the funeral though. The funeral is to support the loved ones left behind and celebrate the life of the deceased. If no one shows up......
Maybe you could get a different shift this week?
Know you are very loved, by us humans as well :) Peace and Love to you always

I\'m so sorry for your loss, I really have no advise for you. I think you will do what\'s best for you and your family. The shelter will be there for you after the funeral too. I guess I did have some advice after all.
My condolences to you and your family.
