Big Mistake.

Just a brief note before I head out the door to exercise the dogs...

Word of advice.  No chick flicks.   No matter how good they are, how much people say they're funny.  Not good when you're still emotional - ESPECIALLY if you're still emotional.   Ghosts of Girlfriends past was my torture of choice.   VERY funny.  Last scenes sent me into an emotional tailspin.   Darn it, I thought I was doing ok.   Apparently not as good as I thought.   SIGH.  Time to keep the TV off and focus more on my fitness.   At least until that happy comfortable feeling gets stronger.

Later!

So sorry this caught you off guard! I too just stay away from \"chick flicks\", guess instinctively I know I am too emotional! Now I know why! (((Hugs)))

Big ((hugs)). I know what you mean! I used to love reading novels about people, lives and their relationships, as a means of escapism. But in the past two years the only type of books I find I can read are autobiographies and self help books. Just cannot handle the other stuff yet. Also find I avoid the chick flicks too.
I went to watch dolphin tale at the dollar theater the other day - thought that would be a safe type of excapism instead. LOL
Hopefully we will get back to being able to handle them without them triggering our emotions in a bad way. :-)

I\'m sorry that got to you and you are wise to stay away from those kinds of triggers. It\'s been four years for me and I can now listen to my country music, and read the novels. Just give it more time. I thought I would never get to this point but I have. I\'m sending a (((HUG))) your way.

I recently watched The Scret Life of Bees and I was a mess. Just balling. I so know what you mean.
