Bible Verses that Will Remind You of Your Identity in Christ
Never let us doubt that YOU ARE THE ONE, but let our hearts be burned with love of you and the Good News. May you remain with us all the time and guide us to recognize the mission that you have called us to do, and have the courage to proclaim the Good News to all peoples. Make us believe in your resurrection and renew our faith that as we look upon you, we may know, believe and love you with our heart, our soul and our mind. May your peace remain ours and be the source of hope that we can hold on to whenever we are troubled. This we ask of you, Lord, who live and reign with God the Father and the Holy Spirit, One God, forever and ever. Father our Loving and Eternal Shepherd, be honor and glory to you.
Lord God, thank you for this new day and the gift of love and friendship. We pray today for the safety of everyone. In particular, we pray for the safe travel of all, whether by air, sea or land. Send you holy angels to guide and protect them and their journey. May they reach their destination in safety and joy.
It was exhausting, but I was winning. I knew that because after a couple of days, they began to slow down…Snap! Now I don't know if you've ever had rats, but it was extremely frustrating.
I desire the eternal welfare and happiness of other people. I try to love other people, but there are some people who always seem to get on my nerves. I usually just ignore the future—if I don’t think about it, I don’t have to worry about it. The Bible is your ultimate instruction book, providing answers for every area of your life! The problem was, I was “trying” in my own strength, and I needed God’s help.
Thanks a million for this study, I need it so much in this trying time of my life. God has used it to bless me and encourage me. I am really blessed with this lovely message about facing trials in life and what is my approach and response when I encounter such trials.
There’s nothing quite like being slapped in the face to learn a lesson the hard way. And there’s not a textbook on earth that can do that. What it means to be a Christian, at least according to culture, has changed over the years. Many people think that going to church occasionally or simply believing in God makes them a Christian. But the Bible presents a different perspective and definition of a Christian.
In the same way, recognizing and accepting the meaning of Christ's resurrection today leads us to a life full of power and purpose. Here are four ways that believing in Christ's resurrection can change your life. I've had many ups and downs in my faith. Some situations that would make people want to quit, but I never did.
Your sun shall no longer go down, nor shall your moon withdraw itself; For the Lord will be your everlasting light, and the days of your mourning shall be ended. Delight yourself also in the Lord, and he shall give you the desires of your heart. Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For you are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. Like I said before, affirmations are based on YOUR strength, on what YOU can do, and what YOU are capable of doing. If regular affirmations tend to be quite effective, can you imagine how much more powerful affirmations would be if they were based on God’s Word? Now that’s what I call powerful affirmations.
Whatever help you need, no matter how insignificant, you can simply ask—and the God who set the stars in place and created the heavens will hold you up. You can trust God’s promises, and you can lean on his strength. Out of his love for us, Lord God comforts us when we’re discouraged and anxious. As his vessels, we get to bring that same comfort to those around us. While the circumstances of your life can push you to the physical, emotional, or mental breaking point, Jesus offers us an easier yoke and a lighter burden. Guide me as this journey through Advent begins. Almighty God, there is much gloom throughout our world–almost all of which is of the result of the failings of humanity. We are faced with wars and injustice, the destruction of the environment, and more. It is no wonder that we sometimes feel that we are walking in the land of darkness. And yet, as we approach the celebration of the birth of Jesus tomorrow, we can see a great light, a promise of a better tomorrow.
For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. But you are God’s chosen treasure—priests who are kings, a spiritual “nation” set apart as God’s devoted ones.
Now, imagine the peace you can have in knowing that God has no record of your past. Imagine the peace of knowing that God has erased your past sins from His memory book. Imagine the peace of knowing that God is not looking to punish you, but that He is seeking to love you and embrace you. The story is told of a farmer who, one snowy, wintry evening, just before dark, heard something hit the window in his dining room. He went to investigate and saw a small bird repeatedly flying into the window glass.
Just turn to your neighbor and say, “I’m being squeezed.” And if they’re squeezing, you just tell them, “Stop. That’s awkward.” We are being squeezed by the world around us. Well, and then you go further into the party and you see two people in a corner whispering and laughing. And you know what they’re whispering about, don’t you?
I have surrendered that sin and laid it at the foot of the cross. He has removed it as far as the east from the west and I am convicted no more! I believed within the very depth of my soul that I deserved that. I have been redeemed and I have been transformed. My mind has been renewed and I am living for Christ. Absolutely, but the difference is that I pick myself up, dust myself off and walk alongside my God, the same God that I asked to protect me as a little girl.
