BFP!! I'm in SHOCK!!
CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!?!?!? I'm pregnant...barely pregnant...but pregnant nonetheless!
The crazy thing is the whole time we have been trying, I have faithfully taken my vitamins and tons of folic acid (I have the MTHFR gene mutation) and lots of B12, etc. I have not had a sip of soda, or taken a signal thing like ibuprofen or ANYTHING...OVERLY cautious...didn't want to have a single regret.
I took a blood pregnancy test on Sunday and it was negative. I threw a spiritual fit! I quit taking my progesterone and vitamins and decided that (since we were all VERY sick with the flu), I was going to take Ibuprofen, use a nasal spray and a cough syrup, to try to make it through the flu in a more comfortable way.
This morning, I don't really know why, but I decided to take a HPT and was shocked to see a faint line. So, I took another. Same thing. Then I whipped out the big guns...the Clear Blue Digital test and VOILA...PREGNANT!! I almost fell over!!
I called the nurse at my doc's office, who was a blithering idiot. She actually chewed me out for taking a HPT after a negative blood test. (HELLO!?! GOOD THING I DID!!!). lol Anyhoo...she told me to just relax and quit thinking about whether I was pregnant or not. I NEED TO BE ON PROGESTERONE (which I had stopped taking) and injections of blood thinners, so I tuned her out. LOL Worked out fine.
Got another blood test and my HCG level is currently 27.9. I ovulated on 1/29, but implantation could have taken several days. They are checking HCG again tomorrow to make sure it is doubling as expected.
Anyhow, could not wait to share with you guys, as none of my real world friends truly understand how much of a miracle this is and what it means for us!!
OH, and DH is a finalist for an Executive Director position that would be perfect for him (down to him and ONE other person)!! Is that a LIGHT at the end of our tunnel?!?!? You guys must be praying for us!!!
