Beyond Frustrated
Since my husband is overseas I am currently staying with my mom who drives me completely insane.. she is very over protective and still treats me like a child who can't do anything.. She is angry because she is out of work and can't afford to throw me a shower.. so my sister in law is throwing it.. My Mother is having a fit that things aren't being done how she wants them done.. not only that but now she went to look at my registry and has had nothing nice to say about anything I have on it.. she feels I should have the cake she likes at the location she wants, with the food she wants.. I get that she's excited, but I am also.. I am just happy to be having this baby and here she's worried about putting on a show for the world.. and that everything has to be done "PROPER".. I just wanted all this to be fun and exciting, but instead is nothing but issues.. Im to the point were I don't want her there cuz she's going to be criticizing the whole time... I am trying to be mature and respectful but getting none in return.. Any advice?

Ugh, how annoying. Maybe remind her that your SIL is in charge of the shower, and if she wants to help she can talk to her
Oh how frustrating, I\'m sorry you are having to deal with this. I agree with polka dot, I would keep enc her to go talk to your SIL. Maybe your SIL can give her a portion to be in charge of so she feels more apart?
Ya she tired that unfortunately all my mom is doing is complaining about everything.. its just really frustrating
Sorry your Mom is driving you crazy!! Maybe you can give her a specific job at the shower, like but her in charge of the games or whatever maybe that would help?? XO
