Better today
Hello friends and sisters of the heart. I am better today. I appreciate all the hugs, prayers and encouragement you sent me last night and this morning. Somehow it feels better to just state the pain, hereĀ & know I will receive understanding and validation.
I am more peaceful today. I am trying to be upbeat for Christina's first Mother's day and I am trying to focus on what I have but, yikes!! Sometimes the waves of grief just hit. Thankfully I come to the surface a bit quicker now, but there are rough seas sometimes.
Thanks a bunch. I wish you all a peaceful weekend.
Love, Linda

I am glad today is a better day.

Dear Linda, it\'s like an ocean, that emotion we call grief, waves pouring over us at their will......and so for you I pray, \"Dear Lord, please help Linda, the ocean is so big, and her boat is so small. Amen.\" Glad you are doing better today!

It helps me a lot too to write about my grief to this group. I feel that the ladies here are the only people that could possibly understand what I\'m going through. I wish you a peaceful weekend too.
Glad you\'re feeling better. There are those days, though. We\'ve all had/have them. I think I\'ll just stay home today, this week was a roller coaster. Emotions can/are very draining. love ya, abby
Yes. yes. yes---emotiions are SO draining. I usually call it the roller coaster, but I also like the analogy of waves. I helped at 2 memorial services this past week and my energy is on the floor, so I am giving myself some \"down\" time to get back to whatever is normal. I\'ve decided that mother\'s day is going to be more about my mother and grandmother, both with my son, than Erik. Otherwise I might just sink to the bottom! I hope all of you get through the weekend in peace and love, Margeryann
I\'m glad today is a little better. This is such a hard and confusing and painful holiday. I\'m not sure what to do. Call my 94 year old mother and be glad she\'s still with us even though she can\'t hear very well on the phone. Try to avoid the celebrating families at Mothers Day dinners. What to do? I\'m glad you\'ve got your granddaughter and greatgrandaughter. I do think it helps to be able to focus on the future but oh my those sad emotions do flood the self don\'t they. I\'m thinking about you and Eddie. Love, Linda J
Love to you my friend.. and my dark times are getting less and joy is lasting longer but this road is so hard sometimes.. love to you
Hi Linda, I am glad you are feeling better. Sometimes there\'s just so many expectations with these sentimental holidays that it can be a bit too much at times. I admire you for wanting to be \"upbeat\" for Christina. But please be mindful of your own needs, too, and the fact that you have a perfect \"right\" to feel sad as you\'ve suffered the worst loss there is..and you\'re trying hard to keep it all together, but you deserve a little slack, too! I love you and I hope that tomorrow will be as gentle a day as possible dear Linda.
Loving you and Eddie, Donna
Yes the seas can be very rough but we keep on our \"life jackets\" so to speak and keep treading. Sending you wishes for a happy mothers day and many beautiful memories. Love to you. Robin
Glad you are feeling a bit better...the sorrow pains do come in waves...some bigger than others....wishing you peace and love and pleasant memories...Karen
Dear Linda, waves of love... and they hurt so much. I am sitting here wishing that you could feel Eddie\'s big strong arms around you. May your mothering heart remember how wonderful it was...
xoxoxo Sarah
Yes, Linda, I too understand and it is so much easier to simply share as you always do where you find yourself in this moment. I\'m hopeful that the day unfolded as it needed to and thank goodness we can come here to be real and to share. With love, Joanie
