Better day today
I didn't realize that people would post comments here. I was surprised when I clicked on the wrong button and saw the comments on my journal entries. Sometimes I lapse into private conversations with Abby here and I was just kind of using this to vent. I wonder if that's the reason for all the "Private Profiles" here. I was wondering why there were so many.
Some one said I must have a good sense of humor. Well, I could always make Abby laugh, even during that last week in the hospitals. She told me once, when I went to see her after work, that it was the first time that she'd smiled all day. If I would have known how short the time was I would have taken time off work and spent every minute with her. We thought she'd be coming home any day. Even that last day the doctors were still saying a few weeks. I just believed them, like some naive kid.
Anyway, time to retire, have to get up early for work tomorrow. Bedtime is always hard, we used to read and talk a while before going to sleep.

Yes, bedtimes are hard. We always talked a bit, leaned into each other and ended the day.
Blessings and memories.

I think a sense of humor is a very important tool to get us through this. Dan was the one always making me laugh and it was very important to him that I keep laughing after he was gone. Sometimes that is tough to do, especially when he was the one responsible for most of the laughter. But I try..
Wishing you an even better tomorrow
