The nearest airport is Jerez Airport, 73 km from Apartamento Zahara. For those who prefer the privacy of a villa, there are a number of luxuryrental properties in the area, including some stylishly-designed properties with minimalist architecture. Today, in the village itself you can see the ruins of the castle, which was later used by local fishermen to store their tuna-fishing equipment.
They have two covered parking spots available and room for five other cars to park around the property. It seems to be available on a first come first served basis. The spots are tight and difficult to maneuver through.
It was lovely to eat outside, especially during the sunset. A small flight of stairs from our private balcony conveniently led us up to the shared pool area. If there was a negative to El Dorado, it would be the kitchen. The kitchen was the smallest part of the whole house but Apartamentos turísticos en Zahara de los Atunes was still very useable with a full-sized fridge and a dishwasher. This house, La Finca Guatavita, is a place that I will long to go back to again and again. Since the house is so large, it has been divided up into four cottages so several families can stay there at once.
And Sevilla – the pearl of Andalusia – has some sights to offer, e.g. the cathedral and the Alcázar of Sevilla. And then the old town with its beautiful old buildings invites you to an extensive shopping trip. Apartments on the beach, in the mountains, apartments in the snow or in the heart of a big city.
