Best Christmas ever

She tried to give a hard time since Christamas Eve, I did my best to ignore her.  She did not went to sleep and had a singing solo time that ended at 5am.  I heard her, but kept sleeping.  I woke her up at 10:30 amid her complaints, rolling of the eyes and other stuff.  She wore the shirt that I did not liked, took more than an hour in the shower.  And they were waiting for us in the car.  The moment when she met my boyfriend and his two beautiful children, she transformed herself.  She had a great time.  They are 24 and 16 and my daughter, 19, fit right in.
At one point after all the Christmas presents were given I looked at my daughter and she was genuinely smiling and having a ball.  I opened my gifts and among all the hats, creams, bath gels and even a very special gift, there was a handwritten note that his kids have written for my daughter and I:  "Welcome to the family".  I posted the note across my desk so I can see it every morning.
As I took a look at my daugther and saw her talking to him and blending in so nicely and the handwritten note in my hand,  I realize, for me this is the best Christmas ever.
She even wants to spend tuesday with all of us again.
