Ben and Buzz
Well I have truly thought about another pet (especially when friends go on about theirs. It does tug on my heartstrings.) Until now I have held fast as I am not sure where I will go or if they will take pets. I do have to say there are more places than I thought who seem to. My next reason is I am truly a dog (over cats, but love them too) person and I will still be at work while he/ she is home alone. Then there's the fact I don't know if I am prepared for another heartbreak when they would go. So I've stuck to my guns.
Much to my surprise, when walking into my kitchen yesterday afternoon I was glancing at my nice clean uncluttered counter only to discover a fuzzy little mouse who saw ne first and jumped on my stove and disappeared in a crevice under the control panel but leading down into my stove. I jumped a foot and a half, but decided I would just be sure to turn the lights on and make alot of noise the rest of the night. (I call him Ben as I think of an old Michael Jackson song about a pet rat) We did manage to peacefully coexist.
Then last night I am on my laptop with the tv on and I hear a buzzing. Right next to me on the lampshade is a hornet who got in a few days back when I had windows open with warm temps. He then disappeared . We too did manage to peacefully coexist. For him I am hoping to get him closer and coax him out the front door on a nice day. (Of course if he would give me any grief, he may just be joining the graveyard with all my toys. bahaha
As far as Ben goes, I have bought glue traps but have not yet got the heart to put them out. These are not exactly the "companions" I had in mind.
For those who know me far too well... I am thinking you thought something different when you saw that Buzzz... LOL Actually do have yet another story to tell, but that one goes in sex on the brain. (big evil grin here)
Excuse my endless chatter and silliness. I have been trying to get things done so I am prepared for tomorrow's surgery (7 am) The laundry is in the dryer and I just have to get my shower so I had some time. God I miss someone to chat with.
Hugs to all. Kim

I saw a large ant once caught on a glue trap and the pain it went thru and I won't use them. I would use a live trap and then stop up the hole where he got in. When you name something, you are sunk. LOL.
I miss someone to talk to so much. I have a need to share my life with someone and not just on the phone or computer!
Hugs, my friend. I know what you mean. I have a cat But sometimes we need to step back and see how far we have come. Hugs.
buzz would be dead by now in my house and poison would go under the stove too.....
glad surgery is on....here our big hospital chain just canceled all elective surgeries....I missed that in March by one day....I had my surgery then it was announced that day that all surgery elective would not happen in our entire city....
I will admit when I saw Buzz I was not thinking of a hornet lol
I hope you can get Buzz out and Ben doesn't become a nuisance.
Good luck with the surgery tomorrow.
Hugs!
My granddaughter and I read this story called But no elephants, about a sweet lady who keeps adopting pets and they love her so much they all help fix up the house. Beaver cuts the wood ect. Anyway, good luck with the next eye work. 7 am must be like the middle of the day for you:)
