Belize - 2 weeks into
Been in Placencia Belize now over 2 weeks. Getting used to things again here, e.g., pace, lack of efficiency, weather, etc. I like to have things under control in my life - but that's not possible much here. You make do. I have to really adjust...and it gets frustrating at times. We take so much for granted in US.
But, I am having fun...and chilling out a lot. Bought a new bike to ride into the village. Hope to find a used vehicle to keep here but not much available in this area. Most vehicles are high mileage and well used. Lots of dirt side streets with potholes that can swallow up a small car. Seeing a lot of people I met in previous trips. Just like growing up in small town Ohio.
Love this weather. Not as hot but still short sleeves. Rain at times but it comes down hard and then quits.
Plenty of cheap fruit and veggies so eating better. Don't need the Metamucil.
Life is good...after the rain the rainbow comes. Wait for it...wait for it....
