Being rubbed the wrong way

I don't know...church is usually a good place for me, but lately we've been going thru a transition (our pastor is retiring).  And the ugliness is coming out.  Even things that folks say that aren't intended to offend, are being taken as an offense.  Just some nasty undercurrents that I personally don't want to deal with.
Why should I?  There's plenty of unavoidable nastiness to deal with, right?
