Being a Witch
So my bestie seems to think that being a witch means you think you're what you see on TV, though she has yet to tell me exactly what she thinks besides "witches don't exist". She has yet to define for me what a witch is.
Being a witch means you practice a shamanistic religion, not performing spells and chanting stuff to get a TV produced result. It's performing rituals that give a positive result over time. The stuff on TV in books etc. produce nothing but an instant result. Which I can see that that's what my bestie sees witches as. In which case, the stuff you see on TV, read in books etc. do not exist. Witch is another term for a Wiccan which is a branch off of the Pagan religion. It's a modern day religion that practices the old ways. It is shamanistic. Think like how a Native American performs a ritual for a positive result. This is what witches do. It's not an instant result because the laws of nature won't allow for such a thing to happen.
Until the day my bestie defines to me what a witch is, I will continue to believe that she is misinformed and has no clue what the hell she is talking about. Now this does not affect my friendship with her, I think that she should look into something before stating an opinion. Because 9 times out of 10, stating an opinion, without being given the proper information, makes you look plain stupid.
To elaborate on my last statement about giving a misinformed opinion. I think that most Christians are misinformed about their own religion. That is not just an opinion, but the fact that evidence is being brought to light of gospels being taken out of the bible, including that of which was written by a woman, proves to me that Christians blindly follow a faith without knowing every bit of their religion. They want to believe that the bible as we know it today is the complete word of God, however it isn't. Same goes with my bestie. She never once gave me a definition on what a witch is and is sitting here stating a misinformed opinion.
As a Wiccan I believe she can respectfully keep her mouth closed unless the next words on this subject are of defining what a witch is to her, in which case I could either say "yes that is right", or inform her.
Now my bestie is autistic like me, which can both be a blessing on our friendship as well as make it clash. I have been known to state an opinion without being properly informed, but as soon as I saw that I was wrong, I didn't try to defend my misinformed opinion, I simply said I was wrong a moved on. I tried to tell her being a witch in real life is not like fairy tale witches, in which she said she is not talking fairy tale witches. (BULL FUCKING SHIT!) I told her it's a shamanistic religion and that I am not gonna bother trying to explain it to her. She then tells me that I don't need to explain it to her because she has her opinion and I have mine. WHAT PART OF ME TELLING YOU BEING A WITCH IS SHAMANISTIC IS AN OPINION?! It's NOT a fucking opinion when I am trying ti inform you that your opinion holds no merit.
Like I said I am not letting this dispute affect our friendship, rather I am venting on here, because she wants her opinion to hold merit in a place where it is null and void. And as a Wiccan I don't like it when someone states an opinion on my religion without being properly informed and then blowing me off when I try to say I am not gonna bother explaining (because it would go in one ear and out the other, which that statement did).
