Beginning to Wonder.....
Ok Journal
Side Note ----will the men here on DS,please take no offense here as i vent for a wee bit its nothing against you guys...
Ok so I have an office thats located in the waiting room of the service dept. Not bad --however i can hear everyone when they speak in the waiting room even tho my door is closed..... I have been able to tune the voices out ,except when they get LOUD!! there has been this 1 guy in here since 9am this morning talking on his cell phone to whomever very LOUDLY!!!
So as my Irish temper begins to flare up after an hour and a 1/2 of this guy talking to whomever I begin to wonder the following:
1. Did this guys mother teach him no manners what so ever?
2. When in a public place,do you not realize that other people are working here also?
3. My goodness what did this man do before the cell phones came out?
4. No one can ever tell me that men don't gossip,Cuz this man has been going on for an 1 1/2 hrs about some girl said something to 1 of his friends so he is doing the he said ,she said game with whomever he was talking to.
5. Overall I think its just rude to talk on the phone like you were at home on the couch watching TV...There are other customers in the waiting room as well,so I am sure it bothers them ,cuz i see their faces when i leave the office.
Again I must reference back to the time when there was no cell phones,so people should understand when others get annoyed for people talking loudly on theirs....Hell I am lucky if I use mine 5x in a week, and thats only for emergency purposes, then they wonder why they are charging their phones everyday.

Tell him to shut up and take it outside.
lol how right you are!
I was just in an office on Monday where a woman was doing the same thing. I was one of the patients. A gal who had just sat down said very loudly \"It says if you need to talk on the phone, be courteous to others and take it outside, but whatever!\". The woman got up and took it outside! Maybe you should have a sign in the room saying the same thing.
I\'m lucky if my phone rings twice a week. I keep it with me at all times because I hate playing phone tag. My calls are business related and I\'ve had three this morning.
When I\'m out I will try to take my phone calls outside. If it\'s going to be long I will call them back later.
I think it\'s rude to talk so loudly that everyone can hear everything you are saying.
I try so hard to find a quite place to hold my cell phone conversations - usually off into a remote corner of a hospital or deserted hallway. Nave fails once I\'m on the call 637948652849 people decide to come walking down the hall or stand right next to me and scream on their cell phone as if they have to push their voice to the satellite so it can make it back down to the other cell phone. So I know what you mean - and fear not I have heard doctors talking about their patients, kids cussing out their parents, spouses arguing about dinner and every type of gossip. As I type this there us an older lady sitting 4 feet from me gossiping about her sons health care an how he cant pay for it.
I hate it when people call me while they are shopping,etc...,talking to other people. So rude. However, if I was in any sort of waiting room for 1.5 hours, I would be much ruder than just talking on my cell phone!
OMG!!! Jarliew \"as if they have to push their voice to the satellite to make it to the other phone\" LOL...way to funny but oh so true.
This PHONE situation has gotten outa hand!!
I am working in retail now, just to get me thru school.
PEOPLE, mostly women, (clothing) come in the fitting room, WANTING TO BE WAITED ON, they enter with their Heads facing down TALKING ON THE CELL!!
I have to.. NO, THEY MAKE ME SAY AT LEAST 3 TIMES: MA\'AM, MA\'AM, MA\'AM, THEN they look up -- see how stupid that sounds
I HATE WHEN PEOPLE TO THIS!!
I was at the grocery store, trying to figure out what brand of pizza to get, so this was very intense reading and seeing the pictures & prices when this shopping cart hit me and made me jump, well, the women was on her CELL, and said, oh, sorry, as if it was nothing, but she failed to see it scard the wits outa me so I said, why don\'t you get off the \"F\" phone. She really pissed me off.
I understand how annoyed you must felt -- trying to get your work done. How inconsiderate of him. I agree.
I hear you. It is very annoying. If that happens to me,I try to find someplace private so I don\'t disrupt others. people have no consideration nowadays. :) Maggie
Is it any wonder more people get into car accidents, again i ask what did people do b4 cell phones?? and OMG dont even get me started on the whole texting thing, especially when driving HELLO!!! dont we have enough stupid drivers on the road--- now your texting while driving please!.
@ energy good for you telling her to get off the phone....
@ maggieb if i am in a public place i let it go to voicemail,no message then no call back couldnt have been that important then.
lol... Good point about the manners and cell phone use. This guy is being very inconsiderate of those who are around him. Pure \'poor\' manners. That\'s a given, but I don\'t think it has anything to do with how his mom raised him or him being a guy. I think it\'s all about him being an inconsiderate person by his own choice. Like it was your choice as a person to hold back your Irish temper and not tell this guy to shut the \'F\' up already!!! You balances his inconsideration out with your self control. O, and yes, you are right. Guys do gossip. We just feel less manly when others realize it. Well, maybe not this guy, but most of us other guys. I so love Oprah. (lol)
Good point ROAS about the balancing thing, but seeing as how i was working i couldnt really tell him that anyways, bosses kinda frown on it when i tell customers to shut the F up...LOL.
