Beginning again 2

All right starting again.  Sober 2 days.  Today is day 3.  I wrote myself out a list of reasons I don't want to drink and I put it in my wallet.  I'm hoping before I go and buy alcohol that I'll read it and it'll make me think.  Mapped out last night the things I can do to be proactive during the day that may stop me in the evening.
I'm still in a different place than when I quit before.  I'm healthier, so this time I can combine exercise right away.  I'm mentally and emotionally in a better place, so my thinking is clearer. I can make better decisions than I could before.
I can be proactive.  Maybe that's the piece I was missing before.  Before I felt like I was fighting myself and my drinking thoughts, holding tight against myself and my thoughts....more reactive than proactive. I can be proactive.  I can use mindfulness.  I can use exercise.  I can play piano.  I can play violin.  I can journal.  I can label my thoughts and I can acknowledge my anger.  I can read my list of reasons I don't want to drink before I go to the liquor store, and ask myself what it is I truly want to do, not just go because I feel I want to go.
I am committed to making a life change.  I do not drink.  I am the tree, not the leaves.  I am the mountain.  It is a new day 3 and I am solid.
