Been sick for a few days, but not doing too bad
Well, not a bad weekend with David. Really. shocker! Corey, his 300 lbs fireman, body builder, body guard mentor read him the riot act Friday night! Hopefully some things sunk in. Not "perfect" but if things stay like this, I'm good. I can handle this.
Buddy is officially on Petfinder now. We thought we had a family to adopt him and they went so far as filling out an application. We met them and I liked them, but they have now asked for their application to be put on hold. whatever that means. But for all intents and purposes, he is housebroken and doing much better in that respect. Still chases after Remmy and needs a time out sometimes. Gets too rough and pulls his ears and bites his ankles. I am praying that we find a family soon as I could use a break. But a part of me feels guilty. Poor little guy is REALLY becoming attached to me. I do love him and I snuggle and talk to him and he has probably never had that kind of love and attention before. And it will hurt him when he leaves to go somewhere else. I will hurt but I understand. It bothers me to hurt him. Paul is afraid to get attached and so he stays backed off. But little Buddy just wants to be loved so much, you know?
Work was very slow and they were asking us to pitch in and close other claims. I closed a bunch. Thank God I got my own "pending" down to 10 open claims, which is the lowest it's ever been in 16 years. There was a large condo building fire in Montgomery County and we got 5 claims. They were tearing the building down today as it was ready to collapse. So I will be sitting in an agent's office tomorrow talking to people and handing out checks. So my pending just went up again.
Weight is stuck at 161.5 lbs, down 11.9. Gotta push myself a little harder as I want to get to 158 lbs, which will be a loss of 15 lbs plus get me to "overweight" BMI. Been cheating this past week.
Been sick the last couple of days, plus TOM came Friday night. Worn out, achy/tired, headache. Today I had the chills. The weather changed and dropped about 25 degrees and it's cold and rainy out which isn't helping. So I am sure part of it is the barometric pressure, part of it is my sinuses, part of it maybe a cold or something. took a 2 hr nap this afternoon and also took a sinus pill. No fever, so that is good, but I FEEL like I have a fever.
I watched my Penn State Nittany Lions play on Saturday with heart and win their 4th game in a row in spite of all of the odds against them! It was one of the best games I have seen in a long time and that's saying something! My aunt and I are going to drive up there Saturday (as it's a "bye" week) and get some t shirts, walk around, get some Creamery ice cream. I won't worry about the ice cream as I will walk about 8-10 miles all day and it's all hills! for me (and I am definitely biased) it is without a doubt the most beautiful campus in the world. It was voted #3 college town in the country. Hoping to see some beautiful fall foliage.
Going Wednesday to see "Wicked" on Broadway in New York City with my mom and some friends. I took the day off. I am also going to see my dad in Florida in a few weeks. woo Hoo!

Oh, I am having email issues, so please bear with me as keeping up with people is a little difficult lately! But I am thinking of you all!
I sure hope David gets straighten out soon.
Sorry you have been ill. Buddy needs the love and will love you when he leaves for his new home and this will make it better for him with his new family I would think
I knew someone that saw Wicked and they enjoyed it. I think you\'ll have a good time.
Yes, walking does take care of the ice cream very nicely.
Going to see your father will be good too.
Considering all you have endured you are doing very well.
((hugs))
:-) Patricia
Boo on being sick! I hope you get better soon.
Great news about David! I had a feeling he was changing in your last journal. It will take time and he will backslide but it is great that he is trying. Bless Corey!
It\'s a shame you are feel sick.
you are doing great with your weight loss
Enjoy the play on Wed. let me know how you liked it.
So happy to hear David is doing better. I like his new mentor , hope he continues to get threw to David
I hope you find a home for Buddy soon. He sounds like a love.
Hi, Yvette! Glad things are better for you. I was pleased to see that you wrote \"for all intents and purposes\". It bugs me when people say \"for all intensive purposes\" or \"taking things for granite\" or \"I need to loose weight.\" I see \"loosing weight\" so often on DS. Didn\'t these people ever go to school? You LOSE weight. You turn a dog LOOSE. Oh, well.
Not fun being sick and then a huge temperature dip to add to the misery.
I too hope things work out for David.
Enjoy Wicked .
The weight will be released.
Take care of yourself.
Sounds like a couple of super-fun short trips coming up, excellent news! I have been a lot of places - but never to Broadway in NYC or to Florida, so I am excited for you!
Via con Dios!
