Beauty for Ashes, Joy For Mourning....
Well, a painful story has a beautiful ending. Just hours after I said I was OK on my mood and status, things took a turn for very much the worse, and I found myself starting at the bottle of my anti anxiety meds...wishing my life away more strongly than ever before, and terrified that if I took one, I would take much more. But God protected me, and I didn't. :) I was scared, as you know of needing the hospital a little sooner than I thought, and I called my mom. She cried with me, and let me know how much she loved me, even when I hated myself-and she called my dad, who insisted that I put on my family's treasured old worship CD's from our old church favorite go- to choir music, among others. We listened to my dad's part of an amazing, anointed duet full of praise to God, and we sang the chorus with all our hearts. Soon enough, we were dancing and singing along to other songs on the same CD, and my bitter depression turned to pure joy in the Lord. He is faithful...one off day, and our bad behaviour doesn't ever change His love for us!! :-)
