Beautiful Day at Church
My oldest son asked me to go to his church last Sunday. It was his first time giving a talk so said yes.
He didn't tell me his topic. It was family and how important it is. It was absolutely beautiful. He talked how he hadn't kept in touch as much as he should for a while. How important we all are to him. How everyone should take the time to stop by and see their parents. How we always support him and he knows he can call if he ever needs anything and we will be there. How great we are cause we like to have fun with him and do fun things.
He talked about loving how we showed up sometimes on days when he knew we were tired just to see him and give him a hug. How we accept him for who he is and always stand behind whatever he wants to do. He talked about how he was afraid to tell his dad about joining the church and that he would get yelled at, but wasn't and how when he told me I just asked if I could be at his baptism and if he would seal my mother to my father when she passes away.
It was kind of every parent's dream to have your child stand up in front of a group of people and tell everyone how much he values so much about you.
I am going to hang onto this one for a long long time.

See...I told you boys always need their mama\'s :)
I used to fantasize that when my children got married in their speech they would say what a wonderful mom I had been. They got married and had big weddings, but it didn\'t happen.
Well if it makes you feel better lydia979 my youngest son refused to do any thing I asked him to yesterday, told me he would get to it and of course didn\'t, and then this morning I am trying to get him out of bed to go camping and he kicked at me twice. He doesn\'t want to go and certainly doesn\'t want to be with me. I can only hope and pray he hits the point my oldest hit in appreciating all I do for him.
That\'s a great story!
