BEAUTIFUL BLUE EYES!!!!!!!
A hopefully quick note on my day.....
This morning I went to the doctor for my knee and hip pain...ran some test..tomorrow I go for an all day test...so later on that.....
Than we went looking for some benches for the yard...they had two, I had them hold one...decided to get the second one ..Got back...They had sold the other one...so had to buy a different kind but that's okay one is in front ....one in back...finally get home..
Decided to run to Wal-mart..went to Kolh's first...am talking to my sister about mom...share that later.."my mom{"..We are going to the Nascar Races tomorrow so I needed some shorts....A lady shopping I guess overheard me talking to my sister, about mom and losing Ken....she starts talking to me>>>She is upset...she tells me she has not been to church in 2 years she is so mad at God...I said that's okay..She starts crying and explains that it seems God is taking her family and friends (no children died) but she is upset over the others...plus she has a mass on her back that they think is a fatty tissue...and she is scared...I talked with her and her husband was hanging around in the hall and she looked like he might get upset at her....so we part after about 20 min...I tell her..that you know God put us together..I had no plans to be here...and she was from out of town...I told her I would pray for her...and we parted....So join me in praying for this dear woman.....
So I continue shopping....go to another section...another woman and she starts talking...I told her about the other lady...I could see such softness in her face...anyway, I tell her about Ken...and of course I start crying...she kept saying...I'm so sorry..over and over....I thanked her because I said that's all I need to hear...She said I have no other thing to offer I wish I did but I have no ideal what your going through....a God Send!!! We talked about meds, she asked me if I take any and I said no due to I have reactions...She ends up telling me she takes anti-depressants...due she has MS....At the doctor's office earlier..the girl checking me in...shares with me she is 24, she has Lupus.....So the lady at the store said I don't know your name,,but do you have a church and I said yes...she says I will pray for you...we hugged and I started to walk away....I turn and asked her name....of course I told her I was very sorry for her too MS is no fun....She said Mindy...I said I will also pray for you...so join me in prayer for her if you want....
For some reason this woman Mindy...she just looked so sweet and like an angel...
Finally, I get to Wal-mart.....get my things I need....get to the check out...a mom and two little kids are with her...The kids start talking to me...The little boy first...just funny questions....then the little girl.....as the little boy moves on with his mom....
The little girl is talking to me and I look at her....I mean really look at her and I said to her....You have beautiful eyes.........................
She had my Ken's eyes.....The same Blue Eyes.....I stood there is awe as she looked at me as she walked away with those beautiful Blue Eyes...my Kenny was looking at me in this little girls eyes...
Could you ask for a better DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

i BELIEVE EVERYONE HAS A PURPOSE HERE ON EARTH........BUT GOD DOESN\'T ALWAYS LET US IN ON IT........OBVIOUSLY, HE HAD A VERY IMPORTANT PURPOSE FOR YOU THIS DAY. I AM SO GLAD YOU WERE THERE FOR THOSE WOMEN. LOVE TO YOU, MARGERY ANN
Wow! What a day. Ken was definitely there. He knew the women needed you. How wonderful to see Ken!
Hugs, Marlene
It was a day with much purpose. You were put there to give as well as receive. I see things in other people, also...who remind me of Brandon...but no one could ever have his blues eyes...there was a brown streak in his right eye that I always called his birthmark. I know it is a bittersweet feeling when you saw Ken\'s \"blue eyes\".,....God bless you, Sandi....love, dale..brandon\'s mom
Blue eyes always get me.. My son had the most beautiful blue eyes also. When he was 8 months old I took him for swim lessons for babies, his eyes just sparkled like the water. My grandson has the same blue eyes.
You seam to be in the right spot at the right time, Ken must have been guiding you through your day.
Hugs Penny
Sandi, it\'s like you were entering these spaces with such a warm compassionate aura that people were just magnetized to you! My mother has that -- people tell her their deepest darkest troubles and sorrows and hopes and fears -- on a subway or in a checkout line. I know now again and in another way what it is that makes some people (you, her) such angels on earth. It may not always feel good -- because you will feel such sorrow and the compassion gets so big it aches all night -- but you bring love, light, and connection.
Big hug, Sarah
Sandi, that sounds like a great day to me! It is odd that you tell this story because as you know, I am disabled and was 56 when Josh died. All my friends still work so they give me a call when they can. The odd thing about your story is that every time I left the house for errands I would ramble on about how I just lost my son. Whoever I was talking to gave me a polite \"I\'m so sorry\" and then swished me away so they could go on with their business. I told sales people on the phone that my son died, even told some wrong numbers. For some reason I was compelled to do this over and over until lately.
For awhile I left FMO scared by the news of social networking. I took everything off this site, profile, journals, etc. I prayed that God would send me other mothers who had lost their child. (What an awful prayer, huh? Never one that I would wish on a person, but needed to share with someone.) There was a cashier at the drug store who shared her loss and I gave her my phone number but to no avail. Then I told my neighbor. She told me she lost a baby to SIDS. I have lived by her for about 15 years and did not know this? She brought me a beautiful basket of sweet things on my first Mother\'s Day without Josh. She is a single mother with a busy career so I only see her to say hi through the privacy fence 3-4 times a year. My pet sitter had a friend who lost a child. We all went out to lunch together and exchanged information. I called her a couple times but then gave up.
Even my cousin\'s son died, but then her brother had an blood vessel burst in his brain in another state. Her sister was already disabled by a stroke at age 20. She lived in her own apartment but still needed help with things like doctor appointments, prescriptions and even grocery shopping. She and her mother took off to California to be with their brother and son. This went on for weeks and her mother was so stressed she had to hospitalize her mother twice while hoping her brother would wake up from the coma. Finally, my cousin got home and her husband went in for a physical. The doctor hospitalized him because his heart needed bypass surgery. She said in an email, \"I should have been a nurse.\"
So now she is caring for her mother, her brother, her husband, in her home and helping her sister with her needs like prescriptions, etc. Needless to say she didn\'t have time to really even mourn her son\'s death, let alone talk to me. I offered to take one of them to a doctor appointment but she declined. I could do nothing for her except offer prayers. One night she even fell asleep while she was on the telephone with me. I said \"Sweet Cousin, oh sweet cousin, hang up the phone and go to bed.\" I got a sleepy \"Huh\" back and \"I guess I will.\"
So...I rejoined FMO and found you, my wonderful friend, Sandi, and many other wonderful, supportive, caring mothers who have lost a child. (By the way, I miss our chats too. We just keep missing each other.) FMO is what I needed all along!
With love to all,
Leda
It\'s so kind of you to have spent so much time with that women who needed you at that moment. Yes I do believe God arranged for the two of you to meet. You give of yourself to strangers that is so wonderful. I\'m proud to be your friend. Sending love and prayers... Terry
