beautiful day
Hello Everyone
As Mr. Rogers would say, it's a beautiful day in the neighborhood. This past week has been wonderful with the temperatures in the high 60's. Got a little accomplished, mainly moving Steve's mustang out of the garage, where it has been since he bought it a year and half ago. Of course he had a building built out back when he bought the first mustang in 2007. It is a28x24, plenty big to hold 2 cars. He just kept putting it off until finally I had to raise a little cane to get my garage back. (I have nagging down to a perfection he says)
No really, I think when you both retire you can get on each others nerves. I can't get out of his sight without him calling. Yesterday I went into town FOR HIM when he callled "when are you coming home? I'am hungry! Can't you just wait on doing that? I'am hungry." It's not like there is no food in the house! I don't mean to complain, don't get me wrong! I love him with all my heart but geez! I have babied him so long, when he got sick I have been there for him and his wish was my command. Still is, with my dying breath I will do anything for him! (can you tell I feel a little guilty saying this)
I know I have come off as an insensitive person, forgive me. Just a little frustrated this morning. I know I am blessed to still have my husband when so many of you don't. I should erase all of this and get on my knees but I think God understands my feelings. I guess I need a little me time. I send you all my love and prayers and next time will be more positive. Wanda

Wanda! Not to worry - you are a gem. He is lucky to have you and you are lucky to have him and after all these years together, the routines are in place. I do think however, that Steve needs to WAIT ON WANDA sometimes - that would be nice! Come on Steve, that is why God gave you two legs and two arms and two eyes and two ears and males and females are equally endowed so they can fend for themselves. Remind him \"God helps those who help themselves\"!!
Blessings to both of ya!
Gloria
Hi ,I am writing you from Mr. Fred Rogers home state :) It indeed is a beutiful day in the neighborhood.
Please never apologize for saying what is real and sometimes we must vent .
We know you love Steve and attend to his every need .
Perhaps you should have stayed in town longer and let him find something to eat . It might make him only appreciate you more .
You are a very positive and lovely lady .
Now Take sometime for Wanda !
Love ya, Pam
Hi dear Wanda,
please never feel quilty or the need to apologize for things you feel and have said in your journals.. I can tell you Wanda, you know i have done this in so many of my journals and the most important part is you are getting this out.. If anything Steve and Tim can do for themselves when we are not around and getting out to have some time for yourself is very healthy, and the weather has been glorious, winter will be here soon enough and we\'ll be in more than out.. All you are feeling is natual, we do so much and feeling quilt for not being there when we know, both our guys can muster up something to eat without us around is quite ok for them to do.. You are a great wife and mom, and always take the special time for you, it took me a long time to learn this, now Tim takes care of his own needs and i go off and take all the time out i need for me.. Always feel free to vent to us, i know exactly how you feel, it\'s all a big part of illness and you deserve to take as much Wanda time you need without feeling quilty..
Be good to you, without my venting i never would know that this is ok to do and i thank God for you and all our DS friends who taught me this..
Love & prayers,
Becca
lucky him to have you, yes its nice that you have him, but gee can\'t he even make a sandwich two pieces of bread putbutter & jelly lol really what better place to blow off some steam then here on DS that\'s what we are here for. Hugs&Prayers, GDonna
You go ahead and vent!!! That is what this site is all about. Much better to get it out here than let it build until it comes out somewhere you don\'t want it to. I understand EXACTLY how you are feeling...you sound just like I always did. Dan would do the same thing to me. We weren\'t retired, but having a business together, we were together 24/7. He could never understand how time consuming a little trip to town could be and I don\'t think I ever made it without that call \"Where are you? When will you be home?\" I would get so frustrated! Same thing with that \"nagging down to a perfection.\" That was me...why can\'t they understand that if they would just DO IT WHEN THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO we wouldn\'t have to nag....So, see the only reason we have nagging down to a perfection is because THEY have given us so many opportunities to practice!!!!
Hugs
Angie
MINE, Is The Same Way,
Went To Lunch Yesterday, With A Dear Friend..
He Called About 4:00 PM ..
Will You Be Home For Dinner !!
Like You Said, There Is FOOD In The House,
EAT When Your Hungry ~~SLEEP When Your Tired......RIGHT ?
Love Ya, Barbara
I guess I\'m lucky that my hubby doesn\'t call me when I\'m out. If he comes with me, then he drives me crazy sometimes, as women like to browse and men are in a hurry!
Love & hugs,
Lois
Hey honey, he\'s just being a man! Never ever apologise for these comments... I feel guilty being cross because he\'s sick...but that\'s just not realistic is it? I go nuts half the time with D\'s behaviour, and then feel needlessly wracked with guilt....so needlessly, cos he\'s forgotten 5 mins later!
We live in a very small cottage; D has 6 guitars. Amps....bass guitars... Oh Wanda I feel your pain. Cars are bigger!!!!
Lots of love, Meriel x x x
What would I do without my friends? Thank you for your comments. Meriel you are right about the guilt, it hits me when I talk about him or complain. Yall know I love him but sometimes I could ring his neck like a chicken!! (country girl coming out again) LOL love you all, Wanda
Dear Wanda, frustration is a natural part of life... Our sweet husbands also get frustrated with us. It has nothing to do with how much we love each other. I\'m at a place where I could really dwell on what I didn\'t do right for M...and I can allow guilt to overwhelm my life. But, I know that I loved M with all my heart and he loved me the same. That\'s what I choose to focus on as that is what was most important about our life together. All that other stuff is just that, stuff. There was a hat that M loved to wear. I did not like that hat. It was sloppy looking and made me feel uncomfortable seeing him in it. But, he wore that hat everywhere and it often frustrated me. Now, that once ugly hat is one of the most precious pieces of M\'s things that I have. I hope you can enjoy every bit of your life together, the frustrations and all because it is all part of who you both are. Love to you, Linda
Let it out ! Stuffing your feelings is unhealthy and could make you ill. So ,go for a walk , pound the key\'s , call a friend, yell out side ( where no one can hear you ) . Write the letter you won\'t send to get it all out :) . Your the loving wife and care taker. You propably have given this adivce to us but it may be long overdue for some TLC for you. Schedule that fun day for you :) GAil
Hi Wanda,
This is the place to express your frustrations, fears, pain, and happiness. All of us can totally relate. Never feel guilty. I, too, agree that you need some \"me time\". Go for it and Enjoy!
Love Ya!
