beautiful day

Good morning everyone. I hope all is having a good day. My husband Steve will start his 4th week of Sutent on Saturday. This has been a very good cycle this time (so far). Always best when you can take it easy . It has been so cold in N.C. this winter. Not usually this cold in the south. It's lunchtime and only 25 degrees outside.  The sun is shinning.  Still in our PJs, not a lot to do when it's this cold. We are both retired. Our prayer is that each of you on this sight have a good day, a day without pain and peace in your hearts.

Hi Wanda,

So glad that the Sutent is working well for Steve and not causing too many side effects. It\'s very COLD here in SC too. BRRR! We\'re fortunate to be retired, like you and Steve. Isn\'t it fun to be able to stay in jammies all day?! Take care, Hon, and have a blessed weekend.

Love, Ingrid

Hi Wanda, I lived in both Georgia and Louisiana in the past and the idea of anywhere in the south being that cold is crazy to me! Here in Washington state we have actually ahd a very mild winter so far. I am glad to hear that hubby is doing well during this latest round of sutent and I was curious at what point did the docs give him the meds. I am stage 2 rcc and no one on my medical team has spoke of anything preventative except the 6 month scans! Enjoy your cozy weekend!

We went to Duke University for a second opinion after the Dr told Steve to be scanned once a yr. The doctor at Duke told him to be scanned more often so he was scanned every 6 mon. At that time there was nothing else to do after surgery. Now there are drugs that can be taken. I know a man in Florida whose dr. took out the kidney and he took Sutent as a caution for over a year. It is a decision to made by you and the doctor. I enjoyed talking to you.
