Battling the World
What is wrong with everyone? Or is it just me? And if it's just me, why?
I nearly get run off the road by 2 cars in a row this morning, my son was late AGAIN, one of the guys I work for apparently gave me a wrong # to follow up with someone for an address, so I end up getting a wrong address, my husband is acting like a freaking martyr, work is non-stop & my boss wants more OT from us all this week (even though I worked over the weekend). It's all just too much right now.
When I found out I had the wrong address situation (which is starting to become a trend with this co-worker--he'll give me wrong or partial info), I was so mad & upset, I just left my desk & went to the ladies' room to cool down. I really wanted to cry. (I didn't.)
My husband will not enforce any rules in getting my son out the door on time. Yes, my son is supposed to be responsible, but are we to send the message that it doesn't matter if he's late to school? Argh.
And husband was telling me about a co-worker who takes his b-day off every year & said how he (my husband) hasn't celebrated his b-day in years. I said, well that's because you won't let us celebrate it. Then he started back at me that I had been looking for clothes online for him & he didn't want clothes (actually, I was looking for Xmas--somethine extra warm, since he's always complaining about working outside in the cold--but he said he bought his own Xmas gift already.) I was actually thinking some DVDs for his b-day, but of course he couldn't be wrong. so he won't get anything, so he'll have a legitimate reason to complain.
Then there are the issues at church. 2 years ago, I had written a $12 check that never got cashed. Well, in the meantime, church had fallen into dire straights w/$ & something just didn't seem right. They had seemed to straighten things out, but now they want to cash this old check that they had found (along with another woman's check) because there was "so much $" they needed to have. What the heck? What is really going on, I'm wondering?
I'm just so tired of people acting like jerks or idiots. Not that everyone is, because they're not. There are some really sweet people out there & I'm glad they're in my life. But I could do without the J&I's! I really don't care about them & their problems. I have issues of my own, obviously!
I mean, am I crazy to be angry about all this? I feel I'm fighting a losing battle with the world.
I need to get back on the ball with exercise, I know. That will probably be a good way to vent.
On a side note, things are going financially well for me. Because of how I set up my $, it looks like I'll have the $ to pay to get my suspension fixed after all. My Xmas bonus didn't hurt either! Also, I'm glad to have this journal. Facebook just isn't the place to vent my "true feelings" ('cause of course they'll be misinterpreted), and I don't trust that my written journal won't be looked at. (Years ago, I caught my husband Just putting away an old journal.) And I'm glad for my daughter, imperfect as she may be. She's at least pointing in the right direction.
