Battling depression
Sorry for being gone for so long... I have been depressed and haven't been checking my email since it seems overwhelming. But I'm feeling a bit better and have started working through my mails until I can get it all organized. I miss you guys... I know you support me, but I have just wanted to isolate. I wake up to my alarm at 10:15 am and take my pills and I feel good. Then I go back to sleep (which I know I shouldn't) and wake up later feeling like crap. I told Geo to kick my butt out of bed when my alarm goes off so I can feel better... I just love sleep but it's changing my mood.
I was having severe problems on Risperdal (which my doctor switched me to instead of Haldol) and so I went back to my doctor and he asked me if I had ever had the shot of Haldol plus a small dose in the day and I said okay. So I go to the pharmacy and the pharmacist said that she didn't want to give me the shot until my doctor responded, since I'm allergic to Thorazine and Haldol is similar, so we waited for my doctor and he never responded. So I went to another pharmacy and got the medicine. Then I took it back to the clinic and got the shot. I bruised and the area was sore. I don't know if it was the injection or if it hit a blood vessel. It's over a week later and it still feels hard under my skin. I see my doctor on Friday and I will ask him what he thinks. The shot is working... I'm not hallucinating as much and my moods are pretty stable (as long as I get up on time, if not it takes me a couple hours to feel better) and so I want to continue on it. I hope my (general) doctor takes a look at it and says it's okay. I see my psych next month to get another shot (it's monthly) and I want to be able to talk it over with him as well.
I gained a bit of weight and now I'm trying to get back down. I was looking at my weight over the past couple of years and I got all the way down to 214 pounds. I'm at 234 pounds now and I need to severely check my weight loss... I gained 20 pounds back. I have been eating a lot of fast food and I know that's a big problem.. that and me skipping the gym. I know what I need to do, now it's just doing it.

You will bounce back. It is tough, but one day at a time and we will get through this. Hugs
