Basketball with the family

I went this morning and watched my nephew and then my neice play thier basketball games.It is fun to watch kids that forget to dribble and just take off running down the court then stop and dribble and shoot.The two teams that they are on are for 7 through 10 years old and they have girls and boys mixed playing just like they were on the playgrounds at school.After all the games were over they would switch courts and play more games with different teams.It was fun to watch and it is a bunch of local churches doinc it for the kids.They all have there own team uniforms and each kid has to guard the person that has the same colored wrist band as they do.It it a HOOT.The only problem that I have with kids is that we were never able to have any and when I get around the neice and nephews I tend to over do things a bit buy playing to much and letting them climb all over me.So I am sore and will probably not sleep much because of the pain.I just don`t know how to tell them that thier Uncle Monte can`t do things like that anymore.I used to play regular basketball with thier mom when she was still in High School and it would be great if I could at least play a little more with her kids.I say that they are our niece and nephews but they are actually our grand niece and nephews.Thier mom is our niece from Brendys Big brother but there is less age differance between us and her than between us and Brendys brother.Brendys brother(Bobby)is supposed to be a Christian and maybe he is but some of the time I wonder.When we are at these basketball games when they have halftime they go out and give a MINI sermon and Bobby sets there and gripes about them doing it.I know that some of the kids and some of thier parents are not Christians but they like for thier kids to be in a inviroment that is safe and this place has done that for the kids and maybe one of those parents might just hear what the pastor or deacon is saying and be saved so what is the harm in doing it.And some of the time they even say some things that Christians need to be hearing.Like today they were talking about who is watching a Christian in what they do and say.It would have been good for Bobby to hear but he started in gripping about it and grabbed up the youngest nephew and said that he was taking him outside for disapline which he didn`t need at the time it was just an excuse to run away. I was tempted to grab Bobby and shake him andtell him to wake up and look around at the people that he influanced to not think about what was being said.You could see a bunch of people that were watching him and saying why isn`t he listening to what was being said.My other Brother in-law came over after the games were almost over(he is the audio production director for the church that sponsors most of the league)and we talked about it and he told me that some people call themselves Christians just so they won`t have to listen to any what they call preaching and we sort of agreed that Bobby has a lot to learn but he closes his mind to anything Christian or Christ Like. I guess that I need  to pray for him and talk to him one on one to really know anything for sure.I do know that just after my Mother in-law passed away he stopped going to church and hasn`t been back.Brendy and our niece both have said that it was like he was going just because Mom was always asking him to go.They had even joined the church but didn`t go to any of the classes for adults,just went to the regular Sunday  service and then went home or over to mom`s house for dinner.They never went  to evening services or to the Wednesday service.I know that what ever kind of relationship that they have with Christ is between them and the Lord,but you would like to have your own  family and friends to be there when you go to heaven and in these uncertian times that we live in you just feel for those that don`t have a personal relationship with Him.Well I better go for now I will keep everyone of you in my prayers.
