Barf Bag

I have a barf bag.  You know, those little emergency bags they have in ambulances, airplanes, emergency rooms, and other places where a restroom isn't near by.  I got one because I've been making too many trips to the E.R. in ambulances.  During the first of the trips, I got nauseated.  When I told the emt, he whiped out this long, green, plastic bag that had a hard plastic ring on top to hold onto. Nothing came out and I realized one of the side effects of an otc med was nausea.  The med?,,,,a laxative.  Now why would a med that makes you go at one end, have a side effect of something coming out the other end?  Diabolical!  Anyway, trips to the e.r. are a problem.  First, I go around the apartment and the complex in either gym shorts or sweat pants, and a t-shirt.  The shorts and pants only have 2 pockets, not nearly enough to take all I need to make the trip,,,wallet, glasses, in a case, cash, apartment keys and entrance card.  All these were piled between my legs on the stretcher.  Since I hadn't used the bag, the emt put it all in the bag.  Since then, when I've had to make an e.r. trip, the bag goes with me.  And, when I went to Dallas for the c.t. scan on my legs, it went with me since the nurses had told me to wear sweat pants so I wouldn't have to use a gown.  You should have seen the expression on the McDonald's girl's face when I brought out the bag to pay for my meal.  So, I found out barf bags aren't just for barf anymore.

Sorry to hear that you have been needing a barf bag. I hope you are much better now. If I was rich I would help you get out of your neighborhood and into one without the pollution. I do think of you and wish you well! Have you seen Lucy lately?
Hugs,
P.T.
