Baptism

Matt and I are set for Baptism this Sunday and I'm having some issues with it...I am still Harboring so much anger and hatred towards the kids that killed my son..I am Years away from forgiveness if even that...So Am I being a hypocrite? I dont feel worthy right now of something so sacred...What should I do?

I think that God understands your feelings and does not expect any of us to be perfect, how can we be. If it were me I\'d go ahead with the Baptism knowing that God knows my heart and loves me in spite of any transgressions. Sending you prayers for peace in your heart...Terry

HAVE the baptism. You need help forgiving, and I KNOW it\'s FAR from easy, in fact it\'s the most difficult thing to do. \"Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass us\".....the hardest thing to do. The more strength you get from God, the better. God does not expect perfection from us but He offers us his grace, mercy and unlimited love. Anything that makes that connection to Him stronger is A GOOD THING. Your doubts are from the enemy, rebuke them and go to the baptism.

Go for it. Feelings of anger are normal. You are professing your faith and that faith is good. With the help of God, forgiveness will com.
I wish you Peace.

We are all hypocrites. We are all sinners. We are all loved by a mighty God who cleanses us. It will take time to forgive the driver that hurt and killed your sweet, innocent little boy. With the help and grace of God you will be able to forgive them. Like Oprah Winfrey says you can forgive even if you will never be able to forget. At least I think she said something like that. So I think you should go ahead with the grace and covenant of the baptism.
With love,
