Balancing the Warrior 9
The latest greatest from the contractor is that he will be here at Friday at 10. No further information given. My first wish is that he will show up with a refund and an apology for having bitten off more than he can handle, but the business as usual he has shown thus far is that he will blow me off with no explanation. Girl howdy, my finger is itching to push send on that dismissal text. At this stage I am lacking the faith to believe I can trust him to change a light bulb for free. Cleaning up after incompetance can be far more expensive than cutting losses and getting the splinter out of your thumb. Is it good news that I have been learning so much about the State's breach of contract laws? Do I really have to acknowledge that my beloved river region has 5 State governments?
The dialog between Hubs and I still feels like the silver lining to this cloud. He caught the flu bug and . . . wonder of wonders . . is even taking time off work to take care of himself. During this morning's phlem and cough-filled phone banter, he passed the contractor ball back to me with a shared celebration that we might be in danger of learning the new dance move. The contractor has been as consistent in dodging his phone calls as he had been ignoring my texts. Possibly even more. Whatever lives behind that contractor stonewall, Hubs is ready to back me in handling it whatever way I see fit. For now, I will wait and see what Friday brings. Is it weird that I would rather be conspiring with the grandkids on how to make Gampy feel better than beating my head against a contractor stonewall?
My thoughts were racing pretty hard and mean when I sat down to write this entry. My support dog was nagging like a real bitch as she does when she sees I am distressed. She seems to think a walk and/or play time is the best solution for everything. . . I take it as a good sign that she was calm about leaving me to my typey thing when I waved her off. My church friend has been texting over the course of this entry. We are conspiring to spend tomorrow at a special event in one of her favorite shops. Sounds like the best medicine available to me right now. Thank you, my friend.
Still letting God lead the dance. . . Now to see if the journal entry calmed me enough that I can use this night for something more productive than inventing improved tortures and names for the lying, cheating asshole.

You are becoming my hero this week with all this balance you are displaying, calm and yet ready should the need arise to send text. I think it’s kind of good in one way that hubs got the run around too. At least you know it’s not a sexist thing, just a lazy good for naught thing. Triple hugs and kudos. Enjoy your time with your friend tomorrow. Sounds like a perfect distraction.
Thank you, Nancy. The validation is priceless and sorely needed. Yea, I sincerely believe these struggles are easier for me when I can keep the genitalia out of it. Them's is messy parts in literal, living fact, no matter who's metaphorically pissing on you this week.
It still ain't nothing easy, but. . . Small steps, big faith and lots of prayer.
My thoughts are still racing, but not too bad on my strictly personal norm, but responding well to therapy tools.
Here’s hoping!!!

Fingers crossed, hope and praying. {{{{{{ BIG HUGS }}}}}}

Crossed fingers, hope and prayers greatly appreciated, Scott.
How freak-a-zoid is it that I have my toes crossed, too? Yes, I really can, but it cramps the hell out of my feet if I forget to uncross them.
