Balancing the Warrior 7

I moved my sleep center to the other bedroom yesterday. The moldering demolition pile is right outside the bedroom I have been sleeping in and after 6 weeks, the sight of it has become unbearable. Alas, the move was rewarded by a night of disruptive dreams. Not pleasant, but not nightmares, either. The only dream I remember had the construction crew scrambling up and down the moldering demolition pile to build the lab/rooftop garden atop the pile. The crew wasnae any happier than I was.

The first crop cycle has completed on the tower garden, enforcing the dream that the aeroponics gig really could happen. If I can grow that much produce in a corner of the living room in a few short months. . . I removed most of the lettuce last week. Several of the herbs remain. The Vicks Plant is thriving. It is breaking my heart that I donae have the herb distiller to run it through. That remains on the family property in North Texas with the rest of the lab equipment, awaiting a place to put it here in the river region.

I have been debating with myself for weeks on whether or not to start the next wave of seedlings for the tower garden. Should the family visit ever get past the contractor stonewall, I donae believe I should allow it to run in my absence. No, I havenae encountered any locals I would trust to tend it. "Aeroponics" is a frightening word to most of whom I have encountered here. The few who understand it are busy with projects of their own. Still, the thriving plants have been my great consolation during all this waiting and discouragement from the locals. I hope I will get my family visit before another crop cycle can complete, but. . . Prayers in progress. Want grandbabies. . .

I am looking forward to church this morning. Is that a sense of community I am feeling there? So, or no, I am looking forward to going this morning.

Wow, I wish I had your gift for growing. I kill everything even when I remember to follow all the instructions for care. Kudos to the move and maintaining balance. And don’t look now but I think it might be a sense of community especially in the absence of your family. Crossing my fingers for your on the grandbabies. Triple hugs

The hard facts arenae available to me, but I'll bet you dollars to wishes that you have a gift or twenty that I wish I had, Nancy. I often wonder if Nature's way of forcing humans to cooperate is making sure none of us have ALL the gifts. Maybe it's just me she is forcing to cooperate. Given my druthers, I'd druther not associate with those destructive human critters. Can I go be a fruit fly now? Eye-rolling sigh. . . Yes, Mother. . .

I think your right arfie otherwise the natural aggressions of the human race would keep us in a constant state of war and chaos. Collectively, I mean. Sometimes it feels like individually we already do that. Sigh. Hugs

I love to grow my own food! I can't exactly grow it in my living room haha, but I have a 20x10 foot garden in the summer. I'm still working on refining my green thumb, but I haven't killed a houseplant lately xD

There are quite a few ways you can grow food in your living room. I strongly recommend the tower garden (with lights) for the job. It rocks.
